Not had a proper chance to look at it properly yet as im not at home atm but, yesterday all 3 machines at home requested my msn to be updated to windows live messenger, i previously was using v7.5 with no hastle but it demanded i upgrade to get on msn.
All seemed fine with no big upheaval. Noticed the laptop fan coming on under what seemed minimal load (just msn & evo on), checked to find msn using a silly amount of cpu resources (about 70-80%) All 3 machines with the updated messenger live are doing this.
