Escort_Kid
Update: Smoothing Well thought id challenge myself a little bit this weekend and have a go at smoothing the plate recess. Haven't done bodywork in ages so was quite nice to do some again. Still a novice at it to be honest but im pleased with how it turned out Before: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/DSC01580-1.jpg First I started off by fibreglassing the broken mounts: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008370.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008371.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008373.jpg Next it was time to attach some mesh and shape it in a rough shape of the bumper: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008374.jpg Then it was time for some fibreglass: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008375.jpg Next was time for the filling, I done this in two halfs as markymark did with his, works well http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008376.jpg This is after alot of sanding and filling till I was happy with the shape, tried to sand as much filler off as I could here: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008377.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/27092008380.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008382.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008383.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008384.jpg After this I decided to put some spare paint I had on so I could see how the light hit it so I could see the shape of it better: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008388.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008389.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008390.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008391.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/28092008392.jpg Its not finished yet obviously still a few imperfections with it which ill sort out and then it'll be time for paint hopefully soon Any comments welcome as usual EDIT: Forgot to say I also added my sub and amp in aswell: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/biggup1234/21092008368.jpg Edited September 28, 2008 by Escort_Kid
