Danzetec
Have you tested it out, does the exhaust hit when giving it some? I only ask because the 'hoop' bit looks a little smaller than the original. Yeah its a bit misleading, but if you look at the comparison photo my brace comes straight off each end fixing, where the ford item is set down to clear the subframe. Because of this, the ford brace has about 1/2" less ground clearance and then needs more of a bend to clear over the top of the exhaust. So it actual fact my brace has a little more clearance round the exhaust - at least 1" right round http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/DSC00844.jpg Mykez I will let you know when I get on to making up the rear brace, but I could make a version with a stainless steel bar and silver painted ends? Danzetec
daft question.. would it fit a mk5/5b cabriolet Best bet would be to check the subframe to see if the holes are there, see the pic I posted for position of holes it wont fit an rs2000 4x4 though? want to use my car as a dummy and make me a free one?? I don't think it would fit, even if the MTX subframe was the same, the transfer box would most probably be in the way. Theres not enough 4x4 escorts left for any kind of market to sell, for that reason - I'm out
