fresh dfm
i want to change my standard boring number plates, any good ideas? i see many cars on here with much nicer ones with blue pics or even ford logos at the side and better letter styling. How do i go about getting some and whats the best sort of style keeping as legal as possible?
JC
start styling a numberplate and they stop being legal! and you start collecting tickets so don't bother!
chrisxn
I *THINK* as long as the plates are marked with where they were made from, like, what shop, they're legal. Might wanna check that tho....

fresh dfm
yeh cant see a big problem with these tho as the letter font and style is perfectly legal and spacing the only thing is moving away from the standard symbol on the left. hamspeed
Agreed with Lee and JC, numberplate rules are there for a reason, no point in messing with them and as said they look rather tacky! Why not go for some "show plates" to use offroad if you want to change them ?

You may not be able to see the problem, but they are not legal! And can be enforced with a £30 fine..... perhaps you should read this: http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/v796.pdf a brief little guide or if you want more info read: section 23 vehicle excise and regulation act 1994, road regulations 2002 and regulation 3 road vehicles regulations 2001
