Defo RS ones bud. I have some pictures of when i crashed mine before christmas, and if you want i'll put some pics up in the morning. Mk5's have a lip for the sidelight/indicator to rest against on the wing ;)
Yeah I have been told that the mk5s have a lip. This will explain why I couldn't fiqure out why the sidelights looked smaller than the headlights, cos of the lip.Now I may be able to sort it a bit better now I know there should be a gap at the bottom.Pics would also be good.

Not the best pic in the world but its all I could find of my MK5. If someone hadn't mentioned that I wouldn't have noticed the MK5 having a lip under the wing either...

Cheers for the pictures.

Looking at those I notice that there isn't a piece of the wing which goes under the sidelight.Looking at your sidelights they seem the same height as your headlights, where mine aint.I was wondering if I got the right lights cos mine just dont look right.

As for the washer bottle, there definately is different sizes cos I had a look on a mk6 escort cabby and the bottle on that is about half the size as the one on my van.I will need to get a smaller one for it to fit on my van with this bumper.

You've defo got RS sidelights and Headlights, its just the mk6 doesnt have to lip on the wing. Thats why they dont sit properly. You might have to put mk5 wings on to alleviate this. I know its not a very good picture, but can you see from my washer bottle which one you need?

I know the headlights are rs but not sure about the sidelights.I cant see the difference between the mk5 and mk6 where the sidelights go.Cant see any lip.

Your washer bottle is the same as the one I looked at today. The one on my van is loads bigger than that so I will have to fit a car washer bottle.

You cant get non RS sidelights. Si and Xr's had them, but again they are the same. If you take a closer look at the second pic down at the edge of the wing, where the sidelight goes, you will see a lip with a gap. Thats where the sidelight rests, and the gap is for the clip to go through. Mk6 wings do not have this as they are all one unit. :thumb:

I see the lip you mean now. From memory when the sidelight is against the headlight can you remember if they are the same height? When I put my sidelight next to the headlight it is about quarter of an inch,if not more shorter than the headlight.

from what i remember of my old rs lights..they were more or less the same height ;) if anything a couple of mm out... think you may have got some different sidelights looking at your pics andrew...

I am going to get the part number off them and see if they are the correct units cos I dont think they are.
