Cuirassy GTi

I'm quite a new member on Evo however some of you may already of met me (at the Evo Karting or Ford Fair), I'm Danzetec's brother. Just over a week ago I bought myself a GTi and Danzetec keeps having a go about posting so here goes. It has just clocked 70k with only two owners from new (the last owner had it for 10 years!!). It has a couple of mods already such as the Magnex cat back and the Mondeo 16's, but some more mods are on the way - Mondeo V6 brakes and FRK Seats from my old car and then moving on to buy some coilovers (recommendations please!!).

Took a little while to find a good one in the Cuiruss blue (that was insisted on) but came up trumps with this! The previous owner really looked after it, gen ford mats, headlight protectors, the boot bearly looks used and he even chucked in the original gti 15s! :D

looks mint !! welcome to evo ! dan is a top block ! :thumb: just got a poo car thats all

don't waste your money on coilovers unless your going to track it or lower it so much it handles crap

it'd better spent on decent shocks

better brakes are always a good idea :thumb:

what do you want out of the car? show? euro? track? fast road? cruiser?

I would like the car to be a bit fast road but with some creature comforts and toys. I am going to spec up the interior a little with a few little toys (electric sunroof, one touch windows etc.) and for a little more power. I have some Jenvey throttle bodies doing nothing at the moment so I might do something with those. First up is making sure it handles and stops (the brakes scare me a little at the moment as I was used to a Zetec-S with 278mm Mondeo V6 brakes). My thinking behind coilovers was escort lowering springs sometimes lower it too much at the back compared to the front, plus I quite like a firm ride. However I wouldn't rule out a decent set of shocks instead tho.

Thanks everyone for the kind words :thumb:
