**caz** Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 A good day, apart from the rain....which did do as i said.....eventually!! lol It was great to meet everyone who i have been speaking to, and as already said "names to faces" lol Thanks to: Aaron(stoney) for his help today with my car - supplying the polish!! lol John-(JC) for the seat fabric and splitter! Caroline for the BBQ! and thanks to everyone else for a good day!! I have just got back, I left at 4.30 in the end! lol When i moved my car from one side to the other there was only one other scort remaining on the stand, and ill apologise cos not sure who it was....might have been chico!?!? Absolute stars, the pair of you had a cracking weekend, good laugh and not many people allow a Manc to stay over at their house Also for carting all that food down and and firing up the bbq countless times, something which can sometimes be taken for granted imo... If i didnt speak to some people today, its because i was foooked due to lack of sleep over the last few days lol. Friday ended up with me and Wayne having a few beers till 5am, we only stopped then because we happened to notice the daylight outside lol. Then after a few hours sleep, we headed off down to the campsite, which at first we thought we had dropped a bollock, because it seemed Shite lol, but it did pick up and we had a good laugh. Then after only a few hours sleep again we went to the show, which was wank tbh like every year but the laughs made it a good day.... To say i was really against camping before, i actually really enjoyed it. Was good to see all the usual people and meet some new'uns, like the IOW lads, hopefully you felt welcome on Sat night and have not sunk going back... The throttle bodied fiestas having a rev-off, trying to spit some flames, loud is not the word. The new focus RS looks an incredible machine, quite a few on disply but the white one behind our stand did it for me, stunning. Our Stand was very impressive, looks like everybody made a real effort andthe layout was fantastic. NIce to meet up again with some old faces and meet a coupe of new ones, all in all a good day apart from the rain this morning which was predicted. Got loads of pics of the cars on display and of our stand. Going to post them up later, having a bit of trouble getting them off my camera at the moment, sleep deprevation isnt helping matters. Nice to see my old motor taking centre stage on another stand, tried to persuade James to get on here and show with us in the future. Will have to wait and see. dutchkev Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 almost as good as the galaxy crew - almost and yup, huge thanks to caroline for the cheffing and a huge thanks to ross (kniterider) for the encouragment and support you showed whilst watching me and stoo struggle with the gazebo was deffo a good turn out, a few people couldnt/didnt make it for 1 reason or another but hopefully we'll see you at the next one. unfortunatly my next show is ford fair, but i may be able to pop to some in-between did see a few nice motors there, the focus RS's where always a plesent site to see, seen a few members with other clubs, wanted to pop over but weather was to shite to do anything Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
