My brother threatened them with all sorts (going to Watchdog, taking them to court) before he got a free replacement. If you don't complain hard enough they'll just palm you off. The whole system is crashing, so unless you leave your console on 24/7 then it's a software problem and Sony are liable. Don't be scared to complain because they're a big corporation.
