EscortNreg
Apparantly, if you have had the error it will delete all your trophies and gaming history... And i think it wipes any films you have hired from playstation.

From the snippets i grabbed from the news earlier, because its setting the date back to 01-01-00 all data added after that date dissapears.... I may be wrong as i wasn't really listening. That is bullshite wherever yougot it from.

Lee_2f2f
Sony Corp. said a glitch has knocked PlayStation 3 users off the game console's online network, and the company warned that data loss could occur if gamers continued using the machines. Keyword: could. So it is possible. but only if you carried on using your PS3 whilst the problem was presisting. The company urged customers not to use the older PlayStation 3 systems until the problem is resolved, warning that doing so could cause errors and make it impossible to record gaming achievements and restore some data. Other problems resulting from the Sony glitch can include an error message saying the user has been logged out of the online game network. Users' game trophies - their accomplishments - can also disappear. Again, people were advised not to use it as it Could cause damage. So yes Nreg is right in what he is saying, but he never said could. So in my position, fingers crossed because I did not play any games, I was just watching a DVD on it. so my PS3 should be ok?
