Dash bulb replacement.

Hi,

 

I am currently changing the bulbs in my MK6 Escort dash. I have changed the lights in the switches to blue 3mm leds. I am now looking at changing the bulbs in the clock, heater / aircon dash panel, and the main (digi) clock assembly. Can some one tell me what the bulbs are called? Each of these areas use different size bulbs and holders. If some one can point me in the right direction. I can then order some up.

they all use the same size bulb just push together the metel pins in the holder then pull the bulb out.

also if you are doing the speedo bulbs then remove the dials, split them in half and break the green plastic for better results

Are you sure mate as they look different to me (see picture).

Looking at the picture. The bulb on the left is the one from the time clock, middle one is from the heater panel and the one on the right is from the main clock/speedo assembly. Each bulb is slightly different in size, the one on right is allot bigger. And the bulb holders are all different in size also.

sorry to jump in here but from my experience and a couple of other members here, avoid buying for the first e-bay link Rydale, hes a con artist and its sheer luck if the item you get will actually work.

Well so far I have purchased 6, 509T LED bulbs which I hope will fit the clock and heater control panel (one being a spare). I ordered them from EBay from here;

But still unsure what to order for the main speedo dash clocks, as the bulb and holder are much bigger than the ones for the clock and heater panel. Or is it possible to swap the actual bulbs over, and fit the smaller bulb into the larger holder?
