(it's not just my car!) - We've agreed that the ProSprint alloys are worth more than Mondies.So Mondies with monies our way would be a deal in the making. I can tell you than £230 would buy 2 tyres if your lucky for these things... the tyres are like rubber bands! We are half tempted to find some steelies to roll on for a few weeks (steelies for a Focus/Escort/Mondie are pretty much given away with decent tyres) while we sell these things, then buy a set of decent alloys... maybe these 16" Mondies. Checking the tyres over fully while I was checking for wheel bearing issues today... the inside of the front tyres aren't in the best of shapes This isn't my image but is pretty accurate compared to the front tyres. http://usera.imagecave.com/Turbocharger/MGTF/10052009079s.jpg I've had the family mechanic and the family copper give their opinions... They both say they are still road legal as the centre 2/3 of the tyre have around 2.5-3.0mm left and there isn't any beading showing. Both share the same opinion as us that they need replacing very soon(obviously after tracking). The tyre size is 205/40/R17 if you wanted to look up prices before you think about a trade. Cheapest prices I've found so far is on Valuetyres.co.uk which comes to £93.12 (£46.56 each) for 2, fitted for budget tyres. Based on this new information we are now looking for a straight swap for 16"/17" Ford alloy wheels with good tyres. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
