TC-DNB
Well, i'm back into Escort ownership and lovin' it...done over 200miles already Picked up my new motor friday just gone and here are the pics as i bought it and stands now. All comments welcome good or bad! Koni's got it sitting nicely on the 17's IMO - drives lovely, odd bit of scrubbing if fully loaded but hardly ever have 3 people in the back!http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/076.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/075.jpg New number plates coming soon...want the old skool black and white plates - worth the risk??? Are police hot on little things like that still? If they are maybe just keep for shows and get a new normal plate for road use. Laquer coming off both wing mirrors so need to sort them!http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/074.jpg I have a black honeycomb grill which i may swap for this colour coded RS one - undecided as of yet! (edit: definately keeping the RS Grill haha)http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/073.jpg Only problem i've had with the roof is pulling that one bit of rubber up as you can see. When roof is down you can push rubber back down - will need glueing i suppose?http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/071.jpg Exhaust sounds nice - not sure on make. Possibly 4" magnex? Never been a fan of chrome number plate surrounds but as its there may leave it - undecided at the momenthttp://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/070.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/080.jpg Roof and rear window in good conditionhttp://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/079.jpg Yep - door opens! http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/078.jpg Interior clean - bar some fag burns - smokers and small rip in rear of passenger seathttp://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/077.jpg Was plenty of dog hair and crisps in back - soon sorted out!http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/083.jpg Gave engine quick wipe over, needs a good clean though. Would like a new rocker cover if anyone has one for sale?http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/081.jpg This is a wire which is frayed and the other side simply not clipped in - believe its something to do with the air-flow meter? Not sure which way round they go though?http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj208/TC-DNB/Escort%20Cabriolet/082.jpg Well that's it for now...have a few little plans for it including laguna splitter which i have already, upgrading all bulbs to xenon bright white or ice blue, smoked/black angel eyes or black morrette headlights, maybe half tint rear lights, smoked repeaters and if i can find a nice interior upgrade that. Oh, and swap the steering wheel for one without wear, which i can get from my local scrap yard where i work part-time selling stuff on eBay! Other than that really happy with the RS accessory kit so keeping that! Watch this space! Edited June 29, 2011 by Lordjc

Stu
Wires are for the inlet air temp (iat) sensor. You want this connected up. Doesn't matter which way round the wires go.
TC-DNB
Nice looking motor, did it come with the colour coded grille, ive seen a few cabbys with colour coded RS grilles! Im not sure if its standard or what? Did Ghia's come with the RS accessory kit on it, or has that all been put on you think? Im sure the previous owner has colour coded the side bump strips. Car may have even had a full respray it looks as new! Wires are for the inlet air temp (iat) sensor. You want this connected up. Doesn't matter which way round the wires go. Nice one Stu..will get that done ASAP then!

Hezz
looks really nice mate, wheels (and colour) really suit the green if you were to change anything i'd colour code the handles, paint the rear plate holder black and look to fit rs2k recaro's

Talking about seats ive asked this question in a seperate thread...wanted to know what seats fit directly in (ie rs2k). Thanks for comments Looks nice that drives a treat too...like its on rails, never felt so safe in a car and its got no roof haha looks nice mate i really like the car with the mods Nice one...never rated green motors until now

TC-DNB
Looks tidy, nice to see all the RS acc kit on it, worth a few £! Now the guessing game...how much you reckon i gave for it? 68k miles on clock (apparently genuine but without FSH etc im assuming this is 168k - not that it matters as runs a treat)

stevmo3691
given the way you've said guess how much i'm gonna have to say a silly small amount - £300?why not just paint the RS one black? i would be tempted to have it off you if you do swap it though
