stoo2000
It will all fit, just you might have to fettle some bits to make them fit. The sideskirts *i think* need to be shortened slightly. Ok, so just the sideskirts and front bumper need to be shortened? the rest should fit without any difference? I haven't actually measured a genuine and replica side skirt so I'm not sure. I'm 99% sure though that the rear quarter panels are identical in size etc, they are just wider. The front grille *I think* fits fine although as I don't have headlights currently I have been unable to see.Sideskirts are longer on a Cosworth, because of the difference in the front arch. The grille fits, That's a (brand new) Genuine Cosworth one (and Morettes) on my car in the above pics.
dunketh
Interesting how much stuff does fit considering the totaly different origins of the car. Personally I'd spend the cash on a 4x4 RS2k. Prob almost as rare too - given how fast a mk5 rots... quicker than you can say "Look a mk5 esco.. oh..." lol
reese646
Digging up an old thread I know but what are people who have expertise in this region think about moving the wheel base forward an inch with adjustable arms? Would it be dangerous, impractical, not work because of space and geometry constraints or non of the above, as this is something I'm looking into on tof. My Orion has a 1" overall longer wheelbase than original. I think (was a while ago) that was an extra 1/2" on the front, and the rear.
reese646
I'm going partly by he inch you mentioned before and more where the wheel currently sits as opposed to where I think it would look central, I got a set of 18s before Xmas which will be going on so this will help prevent scrubbing also, think half an inch wouldn't be enough though? What about negative effects.

Naylor2006
Anyone have any views? Yeh man, surely getting 18's to fit isn't the only reason your doing it? Seems like massive work to fit some rims which will most likely ruin the geometry anyway no?
reese646
18s will fit, tof (my car) has been on them for most of its life, its more the wheel placement in the front arches I want to adjust as stated.
