Naylor2006
Well everyone its all gone a bit wrong.... Well after my gearbox gave out a sourced a decent one from Wayne. I booked a courier to collect the gearbox from Wayne and have it delivered before 9am tuesday, City-Link failed to collect the item twice and as it turns out they never bothered turning up. On the 3rd day Wayne spoke with the driver who told him the last two days wasnt the normal chap and that he probably didnt turn up. Would normally be a problem but the car had its old shot gearbox removed ready for the replacement which my mate had to do before goes away today to get married and then he wont be back off hunimoon till 8th of september. As you prolly guessed it was eventually collected in the end but hes not around to fit it now, I need my car for work so i'm staying with a mate nearer work (walking distance) for 2-3 weeks. City-Link really fked me off: Failed to collect item twice reporting Wayne was out twice which isnt trueFailed to call either contact number which was the instruction if there was any problem on arrival to collect.I paid for before 9am delivery to give my mate every chance to have time to fit it, they didnt even load it into the van for delivery until 11am wtf?! I paid £55 to have the item collected monday and delivered tueday morning so I would have the car back by now.... No Escort till at least 9th of September now, O well least im saving some fuel money. JC
Step one: Sue city link Step two: with the money from above, kidnap Ross, bribe with cookies and beer tokens, job done! Joking aside, gutted for you, is there no where else that could fit it?
Naylor2006
Step one: Sue city link Step two: with the money from above, kidnap Ross, bribe with cookies and beer tokens, job done! Joking aside, gutted for you, is there no where else that could fit it? Step one will be sorted soon enough, just lost all energy for it after the second failed delivery and then when they finally picked it up didnt even delivery at the time I paid for, last friday I felt like i'd managed to get it all sorted. I structured plan of attack will be put together soon, if anyones got any suggestions then please do, sensible ones too, not sure a simple letter will work. Well since being into modifying scorts ive found it so difficult to have anyone person work on my car who i trust, the mainstream garages are so expensive, the smaller garages come and go.... I got put onto my chap now by a friend when I need some bearing fittied real quick, he works from home, always calls me when he has notcied something and has no problem what he works on as long as its business. Plus hes so much more accountable then a big garage and doesnt turn his nose up when I take something to him thats all custom. I trusted the courier service so he took the gearbox out monday ready for tuesday as his time all week was limited really so I would have to have the old shot box (which is fked up) refitted or the car trailered to somewhere else and I dont know anywhere else really so ill just stay her near work for a couple weeks, its sad not to be able to throw money at a car I wish everyone on these forums lived closer Plus i dont wanna do it yet because the part isnt actually with the mechanic, its at the depot because as expained they didnt even try to deliver it when they were supposed too.
