sidrick
What exactly is your ECU problem? Do you just need the pin outs of the two ECUs to compare? Do you know if your replacement ECU is working both before and after you plugged it in and hoped for the best?
scottybo
i want any information on an aqua ecu. do i need an edis loom would be a good start?
sidrick
I think a good start would be to identify what you have, and what you're trying to fit it to. It'd also make it easier for folk to help. Does the original car/ECU have PATS and does it have internal or external EDIS? Does the replacement ECU have PATS and does it have internal EDIS? scottybo
the original is fitted with pats, i am unsure on edis, where would i find the loom for that? the replacement ecu is also pats, i have the ecu itself, the ignition ring, the key, a pats box and external edis loom
sidrick
It's odd that you have an external EDIS loom with the AQUA ECU as in this thread you're advised that that ECU should be internal EDIS - http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/topic/151123-ecu-question/?hl=edis&do=findComment&comment=1528166 In fact I'm sure, as that guy advised, that with the info he posted and a multimeter then you can work it out without too much problem. scottybo
his thread says aqua is internal edis, so i should be able to just plug it in and away i go, but thats not the case, iv plugged it in, plugged in the ignition ring, held the matching key inside the ring and tried to start it and i get nothing no fuel pump, no starter motor, nothing

scottybo
ok so ive made some progress, i now know my aqua ecu is external pats, and by onis ecu is internal, so i need to wire in the pats loom. or find an internal pats 1.8 ecu, issue with that is that they would all be 115 ecu's
