Rockerrob666
just smoothing off the plastic boot strip and filling in the lock hole, not a bad job i think with the fibre glass!http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o720/rockerrob666/Project%20Satan/IMG00176-20121112-1858.jpg
danj8608
I've had mine done, fitted it and within minutes it became a pain in the arse... I was in and out of the boot and kept shutting it, kept getting my key out then realising that won't work anymore. Does clear the back end up tho.. I want to mod mine further and have the plate lights in them and remove the bulbous one from the bumper. Keep up the good work

I know what you mean, but I fitted a solenoid with a centre button (with the light switches) last month, plus the manual lever by the door and I have remote boot release with the Clifford alarm, I just thought that, that was just too many ways to open the boot - i don't need all of these different ways to open the boot, lets get rid of the ugliest one! hehe. I agree, it does look a lot tidier done.

Rockerrob666
Lol mine is painted also nevermind mmmm, but you have left food for thought whilst it's off, nothing a bit of masking can't protect whilst i cut out the holes. question for you: I took out the barrel lock and disconected it from the metal lever that reaches down to the mechanism. I could get the metal rod out so I cable tied it to the boot shell to stop it rattling. did you leave yours in or take it out? also did you fill the hole the barrel lock was in and the two for the bolts, worried water will seep behind the plastic strip and in through the holes. I took the metal rod off, as for the holes...a decent waterproof repair tape should do the job.

danj8608
I took the rod off, I have the cable boot mech and since I've done that the tension in the cable seems to have loosened.

Rockerrob666
going all black are we?is there any other colour for a man like myself?? haha. yup, thinking about getting the wolfrace alloys: http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o720/rockerrob666/Project%20Satan/wolfrace-assassin-black-polished_3.jpg what do people think of these. looking to follow the mk3 mondeo caliper fitting guide when the weather gets better (strange, you would have thought I would have wanted the better brakes for the shi'ite weather!!) for the nice and juicy discs to go behind the wheels - scotty, looks like you spunked over yours!! plans for the next couple of weeks: missus wants me to sort a nice mahoganny table her ex-next door neighbour covered in magnolia paint (i f-ing hate magnolia) whilst I'm doing that, gonna paint the spats and side skirts and gonna see if I can get them on before xmas. (it does take me a while to get things done unfortunately) tint windows count how many notes I get on the car from bible bashers after i got my new sticker (I've only had the car 3 months and had 5 'jesus loves you' notes left on the car - have to laugh as I came round the corner in havant to find this beachball of a woman going to lean over the car to put a note under the wiper when the clifford told her to F off, made her jump a mile, she just screwed up the note and threw it at the car, so I shouted at her andd she quickly scarpered never seen a fat b**** move so fast! ) http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o720/rockerrob666/Project%20Satan/IMG00198-20121120-1351.jpg
