some of you know ive had this for quite some time now but i never got a thread up

my 2000 bmw 318 i se e46

bog standard poopoo poverty spec

only mods so far are

- different radio

- m sport alloy wheels

- painted calipers

it wont win any awards for performance as its the old 1.9 m43 engine, being a pre face lift model. but its nice to drive and the other half prefers this to the escort (for obvious reasons lol)

that stereo looks terribly out of place there. (even dare I say a little tacky looking)

couldnt you have retained the old'un for show and installed a stealth setup somewhere instead?

i agree it doesnt look that great, but the regular bmw one was a tape deck for a start lol and was on its way out, the music only played out of 2 and a half speakers haha

I remember the E39 had the stereo controls hidden under a flip face thing which was pretty smart, and im getting boring in my old age now and strongly believe only manufacturers head units look like they "belong" in cars these days, single DIN aftermarket things just look out of place IMO

how many bloody cars have you got

i must admit though i have been looking at these as they are quite good value for money at the moment

I have 4 cars. And 2 bikes

really great cars and can be had for very little money these days. They are all very thirsty tho. Even the diesel models are thirsty

As i said im not overly fussed for it. But the regular one was a broken tape deck lol being a low spec model it didnt have a cd changer either
