dead locking

iirc (its been a few years now)

 

the absolute only difference between a door with deadlocking and one without on a escort all boiled down the the actually latch mechanism, some had the deadlocking feature built in while others didnt.

 

again irrc the door lock barrels were the same, the link rods were all the same and the way the rods connected to the latch were the same.

 

as for changing wiring and control module? well afaik the deadlocking feature is purely a mechanical feature and all contained within the latch unit itself.

 

so in basic terms, aslong as youve got door latches you know came off a car with deadlocking you can swap your own current latches out for them a tada you have deadlocking (its really that simple and easy to do too)
