I'm assuming plenty of people have come across this issue. Went to trial fit a cossie grille on my 5b. The front panel has a section which completely interferes and wont let it fit. What's the accepted method of getting around it?

Its a genuine grille. Has the black plastic grille bit that unclips. Even with that off it clashes with the front panel. Drivers side sits forward a good inch maybe more. The front panel bit sticks inwards 4 or 5 inches from the headlight. I don't plan on cutting the lug off the back of it.

Decided i'll flog the genuine grille and get a fibreglass one I won't be bothered about cutting up. Putting a standard mk5 grille on for now.
