what else can i take off 2 make it look better though?
also if i take the black rubber strippings off the door. will that leave me with holes and a big dent or wil it look ok?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

If u can't afford it, don't get summat to try and keep up, lol, it's how all the tack-mobiles come about

:thumb:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Just look at mine its a prime example!!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

why?

ditch a few little bits and it's cock-on :thumb:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

where do i start? Its a five door, trying to be something its not, i once got told no make that twice, lol. Erm undersized wheels because i couldnt afford bigger. shite exhaust that dont fit properly, because i took the cheap option. Window tints not done proffessionally so look pants and really need peeling off. Numberplate apparently although i have no problem with it. Window wipers, the list is endless oh oh another one it has a sony system, roflmao, and tacky harness pads, lol

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

how is it trying to be summat it's not? ?( X(

Kit looks fine on a 5-door, them bumpers and skirts look shite on 3-doors, as does that bumper

Wheels are fine. From some angles there's a bit of a gap between them and the arches, but nowt major

Exhaust may not be the greatest, but it's certainly better than any fcukin' Peco the chavs that take the p155 out of a half-decent modded car have.

Window tints look ok to me, yeah, there's probably better, but again, better than most

Plates are fine barring the borders and text look a little "intrusive" IMO and it has an iffy slogan :baby:

Wipers do look like summat off ur average Halfords shopping trolley, but they're easliy binned

Sony are the best mainstream ICE brand IMO, I'd never touch Kenwood or Pioneer shite, and without spening thousands, it's the best you will get. I got 2 Sony Headunits and wouldn't buy any othe brand

and harness pads are easily chuckable, and when u got nice harnesses with rubber pads on anyway, u won't see the need for 'em anyway ;)

Once the cars repaired i may not need harnesses, i might not have a car to put them in.

well that's your loss ;)

Getting rid of the best looking 5-door Escort ever just cos of some people's attitudes and few niggly problems and the perils of owning a modded car

don't do it ;)

depends on your style mate, personally I like Panther Black, Moondust Silver, Amparo Blue, Nouveau Red or Radiant Red all depending on the car's styling

Dont be silly duck, IMO one of the nicest Gti's ive ever seen, and a BIG inspiration to me modding my old ones was Furrys, a black 5door gti!

One thing, take the tints off, people cant see you then!! 8) ;)

stop saying it or u might actually start believing urself ;)

Lose the wipers (5 minute job, not gonna break the bank)
lose the little side badges (2 minute job, costs fcuk all)
take the harness pads out and burn them (30 second job, costs fcuk all)
take the blue light things out (10 minutes, costs fcuk all)

and it's sorted IMO, certainly not tacky in any way

Yeah, so a few bits need repairing and there's always room for improvement, I got a £35,000 list on my "to-do" list for the GTi, but I'm under no illusions, when it's back to how it was before, It's an amazing looking car, and makes 99% of so-called modified cars look absolutely sh1t

If people don't like it, that's their problem, they aint ever gonna drive it
