Muzz Posted August 14, 2005 Share Posted August 14, 2005 (edited) What a quality day . Started this morning, leaving Guildford at about 6 with Father_Ged and The_Ince. The mini convoy started well by Ged screeching to a halt at a set fo traffic lights next to a copper . The drive was mental, 100+ all the way, some quality photos taken and generally got some weird looks from other motorists. Met Mike etc at Thurrock Services and then had another good thrash up to Donny itself, including me some how ending up at the front, i didnt know where i was going so pulled onto the hard shoulder to let everyone past, but they didnt get that so they pulled in behind me . The queues weren't too bad although we managed to loose Mike on the way and as everyone else apart from me and Ince went the wrong way . Found em eventually and then managed to get into the show, only for it to take another 20 minutes to find the stand, which obviously turned out to be the first one we drove past . Had a bit of a laugh at most of the shitboxes that went past, it seemed that the standards couldnt get any lower, however we were always wrong and something always managed to be a bit shitter than the one before . Best bit of the day though had to be the BBQ, Benjy C forgot the cooking utensiles (Damn fool!) so we ended up sterelising a Screwdriver, a set of Pliers and a Bottle Opener to use instead. Much amusement . Almost as funny as my backbox falling off :roll: Women were sexy as fcuk, didnt know where to look, each lass i looked at seemed to have less on than the one before . Anyway i didnt get any photos as my camera decided to die, so im sure someone will post a few up when they return . Benjy C Posted August 14, 2005 Share Posted August 14, 2005 It was an awsome day like muzz said and my bad about the bbq i would have some pictures and also a video to put up here but muzz decided to delete everything off of my camera ( ) becuase i had a video of him being wasted by a diesel (The_Ince), he didn't hear the last of that all day . father_ged Posted August 14, 2005 Share Posted August 14, 2005 just got bak this second, wot a day! cant believe i nearly ended up sideways next to that copper!! lol. wasnt pleased with me at all!! lmfao at the bbq the weather was on/off, couldnt decide if it was gonna rain or be sunny! cant wait to c the pix, as i forgot to take me own cam! oh yea, the ince got a good 1 of me pole dancin with the evo flag thing all in all, a superb day, plenty of nice cars!! some nice women. bring on trax!!! Mike C Posted August 14, 2005 Share Posted August 14, 2005 what an awesome day, defo be there next year FPMSL @ Team Barry well, just after Thurrock, I had Ince and Muzz in front/alongside me, with Benjy C and Ince's mate taking photos/vids, so I let them stay at the front for their photo opportunity, lol. Muzz pulled in, so did Ince, I knew we had a decent enough amount of road before we had to turn off, so once they put their cameras away, I'd shoot past as the roads were quiet enough and take over. Muzz pulled onto the hard shoulder, Ince followed him, so did I and so did everyone else. I thought maybe he just wants me to blitz past, but there was no knowing he wasn't stopping for some other reason, so I couldn't just shoot on past unknowingly, lol anyway, all fun and games! Then just before the airfield, Muzz and Ince shot off somewhere and never followed me (who was following the "North Weald Airfield" and "Donny South Car Show" signs ) and apparently they lost the rest of 'em too, but I wasn't there to see that I was entering the gate within a couple of minutes. If everyone else would have followed me, they wudda been doing the same! anyway, on my way in, I saw them lot through the fence, so they weren't too far behind. Steward told me our stand was about half a dozen or so flags down on the right, so I saw the stand I knew we were next to, then saw the "Escort Evolution" flag (which we unscrewed and I now have in my bedroom ) lying on the floor, so pulled in and parked up at the back of the stand, ready for the others to line up alongside me. Anyway, I saw Muzz shoot past, then when I saw Ged, I shouted out, but couldnt get any1's attention, everyone else drove past and so I ran after 'em, lol. Did an entire lap of the place and found 'em all parked up on some random grass at the end, lol. Jumped in with Ged and tried to direct him back to the stand, which wasn't an easy task seeing as everyone was now coming in, so we had to nip in and out of the oncoming traffic, lol anyway, all sorted in the end. Roaring success Thanks to all for coming p155ed it down for a while, was blazing hot sunshine for a while. For most of the day, it was just bright-ish, but with a chilly wind Nice to meet The Ince nice to have my first "proper" chat with Simon (W8) after a few quick hellos at services and stuff at nearly all the shows I've been to before, then not catching him for the rest of the day, lol and nice to see some of the "usuals" again Anyway, good stuff Shame that Jackie couldn't make it or John. Not heard exactly what happened to his car, but Jordan (Doug Si) informed me at Thurrock this morning that he wouldn't be coming shame, but great day all round on the whole, and there's always nest year + tons more shows to look forward to Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
