hose wasn't actually my idea tbo, was mentioned above...

 

im due the allen bolts with the plug cover in a couple of days ... and already decided on the heat shield 2...

thanx, urs looks really well.

 

All other opinions welcome to,..... what u all think??

 

Looks good mate :) have u seen them adonised cupwashers?? they mite set ur spark cover off a bit more

Just painted mine yesterday, and funny you should mention about leaking, coz mine was 2day! right at the back by the fuel rail, b*stard.

 

So im gonna have to take it off again 2day. :(

well iv changed it 2 times now and gos in same place how tight do u tighten it i nipped it down

 

 

im just about to do this myself - but reading the haynes manual its obvious that overtightening can cause this kind of problem.

 

it recons to align the gasket on the cover after cleaning both the cover groove and the surface of the head... then put all the bolts in and tighten them to finger tight with ya fingers... then using a torque wrench in a diagonal radius from the center tighten all the bolts to 2Nm .. then tighten them all again to 5 or 7Nm?

 

cause they are rubbery too much pressure will make em rupture in places just like a hernia! lol..
