I seen a thread some where but i cant find it no more soomeone has put LED's on the inside of the door to illuminate the chrome handles i was just wondering what wires to connect to in the door i got a 5 door with central locking and eleccy windows Any ideas IM sure the thread said you can connect them to central locking so that when the car doors are open they are on and when shut they go off I tried this yesterday it worked they came on but that was it the central locking didnt work after that until i took the LED off

Help!!!!!!

you can connect to anything, connect them to ur speakers - they will flash with the tune! lol

same thing was fitted to mondeo's they illuminated when the side lights were on.

Don't forget you can't just hook up an LED to 12v without a current-limiting resistor .. (unless it's one of those 12v LED's)...

All done just hooked the passenger side up to glove box feed and driverside to the fog light light feed split the rubber hose (door connection) and slipped the wire through there and earthed it with the earth already in the door i do some pics later

I could nt find a live in the door so i ran one wire from the glovebox light and the other side i just ran one to the side light circuit ...

Just use the electric mirror feed and they will come on with the ignition. You wont see them by day much, All you need is a five mm LED but I filled down the top not only so it was flat but it also helped diffuse the light better.
