Seeing as i've had a few newbies PM me for photo's of the estate, thought i'd knock up a thread for those who weren't around when it was :)

the day I got it...
Posted Image

Posted Image

it got lowered, then got it's first set of new wheels, soft RS7's...
Posted Image

Posted Image

got bored of them, so ran on RS2k's for a bit to tide me over...tinted headlights appeared here too..
Posted Image

soon after that, the Voodoo's came..
Posted Image

Posted Image

got bored again, so the diamond cut RS7's came, along with the single wiper..
Posted Image

Posted Image

can someone please post so I can carry on, cheers.

then it saw some Speedlines for a brief while, drove really nice on these...
Posted Image

day at the pod, with 15's on the front got a 17.1, which for a standard GTi, is quite good.
Posted Image

got bored with the RS7's, so tided over with a set of Mondy 16's...
Posted Image

then came the Esc Cos wheels.....along with a few bits, like the 1st private plate. Should have stopped modding at this point, cos it was all ££££££££££££££££££££ from here :(
Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

couple of interior shots at this point.....
Posted Image

Posted Image

then came the bright idea of the engine, as i'd just written the Cossie off, and this felt slooooooooooooooow!!!!, also changed the plate again....
Posted Image

which led to this, best result was 203bhp with paul, iirc....
Posted Image

a day at Bruntingthorpe in this spec was awesome!!!!
Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

and then a few days before it was sold, looked much liked this.....
Posted Image

Posted Image

The Features:

Got a PF Readers Cars feature in the early days.
Posted Image

the the FF feature which took place when Paul had it (hence a few changes), but was king enough to involve me.

THE END!

I loved this car so much! 8)

Should have listened to your uncle Mikey and ZT'd it though ;)

Would have been cheaper in the end as well as more powerful

Still, it was different and sounded immense :thumb:

Defenatly one of my all time favourite Escorts, looked great and sounds like it when pretty well too!
I signed up to Evo a bit late, i think you were selling up pretty soon after i joined?

this car was awesome..i first saw it in fastford..but never really knew about it till joining evo and seeing it in here..
along with mikes bloo monster, ians escy, stoos onion, ralphs black one,and a burgundy mk6 with diamond cut rs7 s on (dont know whose it is!) it was one of the cars of evo imo...
just a couple of questions lee...
what made you pick an estate??
did you lighten it at all?? as standard scorts are heavy i presume that estates are heavier?!?
do you know what it looks like now?? last i heard the owner was stripping it to bare shell..??

isnt there times you wished you kept it??

youll br back on a scort soon..youve tried resisting..ie the saab didnt stay standard for long did it? lol!
take "uncle mikeys advice" mk5 rs. :thumb: :thumb:

Get another Red Estate then lee.

RE LIVE the DREAM........

This car was the reason i joined Escort Evo. found a pic of it on a ford desktop website along with KevHA's / Mike C's Mk 6 and Chappers Mk 5b IIRC ( outside Evolution )

I loved this Estate...... Sleek and Powerful. just as it should of been out of the factory.

I picked an estate to a) be a bit different, and b) for practicality

didnt lighten it.

It's in car heaven now as far as I know :)

Sometimes, and only sometimes I wish i'd kept it, but not often.

If I ever get back into an Escort, it'll be a runaround which would never be modded.

Saab didnt stay long because of a few money hicups, now that car I regret selling evey day.

Si, you never 'RELIVE' a dream :D, besides, it was far from a dream :pancake:

I'm older, wiser and now realise what a silly boy I was to spunk over 10k into what was, essentially, an old Escort estate. 50% regret, 50% good memories

Look into EVO's history, I was one of the biggest Escort lovers, with the most narrowest Ford blinkers on. The Saab made me realise there really is more to life than Ford's, let alone Escorts.

Rotty, standard RS what? :)

Does anyone have any video of this car? I loved this car, after Lee sold it. Me and a mate from work were gonna go halves on it, wish we had now. :nutter: Lee how many set's of wheel's has that car had? I think it must be a thing with estate's, i have had mine nearly 2 year's and i am on my 5th set of wheel's
