Stu
So here we go.. Escort Saloon.. Picked it up today, in storage for now, work on the car will commence sometime soon.. Plans.. turbocharging (my new fruity 'Spec B')... and other niceities.. should end up ford smokestone blue too.. Needs two front wings and at least the drivers sill, but that's down to my paintshop in the future I've purchased a Mondeo ST220 Brake Servo and Master Cylinder in the hope to get a decent brake pedal, although i'm starting to doubt if i'll be able to get it to fit (maybe some slight mods to the firewall will work .. plan B will be to retrofit the cossie brake system (without the ABS).. Also purchased a new genuine rear spoiler....

Stu
1st post , can't wait to follow this project Nice dash The dash (all of it) will end up flocked, i'm going to buy my own flocking equipment. Not sure what colour yet, but the dash will most likely be the typical black. This ain't a project in a rush.. so be patient
Mike C
I will look forward to what "Spec B" is. I have been thinking before now about what a "Spec B" would be in my mind, based on your "Spec A" plus my own workings out and other things you've previously told me Should be good

Stu
I will look forward to what "Spec B" is. It's work-in-progress, it may not even happen. I'm basically looking into something that may end up a very very cheap way to build a proper turbo engine.. just waiting for some parts back from the machine shop so I can start the dummy build.. how much did the old girl cost you then stu?flocking your self you say ?might have a customer then mate! me lol A whole £400. £310 for the car. £15 cab fare. £30 for the train to Stafford (1st class, naturally). £20 insurance for the day. £5 HPI check. Oh and £20 fuel getting home. Can't stand the dash either, how much are you planning on blowing on this? what plans have you got for the bodywork? this should be good to watch Quite a few grand i'd say.. not 5 figures though. The exterior won't be outrageous, but definately not as stealth as my previous projects. Oh yeah and on the flocking, I may just need a few customers just to pay for the sodding equipment! That is unless I make my own flocking stuff, it's not rocket science.
Trig
im quite interested in this cheap proper turbo engine, but I have a feeling I have an idea what it may involve

Trig
Ive just noticed stu, is that the actual spoiler you have bought? it has the cut out for the wiper that the hatchback spoilers have. Is there a difference for the saloon spoilers?
