what do "foreigners" have to do with this exactly? the issue here is if they allow these "travellers" to stay its open house for anyone else who wants to build illegally on any plot of land anywhere in this country. how would you feel if someone came along and built in your back garden but you were powerless to stop it.. this is what this dale farm is really all about.. I think he;s more perplexed about the "foreigners" statement? myself also infact. surely people dont generally think most travellers are from other countries?? their mainly english, often tax dodging, scrounging, filthy and geneally illegal............... but still English. Even the ones who self proclaim themselves "Romanian Gypsies" are nowadays into the 3-4th generation of being English born. i think you will find a lot of them are Irish, not English. As for the foreigners statement you cant tell me immigration has not put a strain/burden on the NHS, police (crime) housing and employment, i know there are lazy arsed Engish who sponge the system but its our fault we have allowed this country to go soft.......................but thats a topic in itself. I would let them stay, if they paid the council tax, income tax national insurance and got locked up if they broke the law, but as none of this applies to them we should just flatten the site and them with it if they wont move. Im sure your right in your assumption that some are directly descended from Irish but Ill think you'll likely find the vast majority are holders british nationality spanning back multiple generations of families. Even in the cases that aernt England born the arguement holds little water when you take into account Northern Ireland and Scotland are included in "the British Isles" so therefore their inhabitants have as much right as yourself to live in England, much as you have the right to live in theirs. My Relatives extend back to their Norwegian and Irish homelands respectively, doesnt make a blind difference though, wether you knowingly intended to or accidently adopted the opinion without to great thought, the arguement your lending your support to smacks of racism at the end of the day and generally has no bearing whatsoever on the Dale Farm topic. My point is this, just because they live in England does not make them English. If they are Scotish, Irish or Welsh or any other race then they are British not English. Its easy to say someone is racist, but it seems to me that if your English and try to put a point over that is patriotic to your country then you must be a racist. I dont know about the rest of the members, but were i live when we get travellers in the area crime goes up (metal thefts etc), they leave a mess, dont pay any taxes and are 9 times out of ten Irish and if that comment makes me a racist fine, but i bet im not alone in that thought.
