the white one originally had a 2.0l conversion, it was easy and took me half a day a best, but for this one i want classic looks but modern power. hence st170!! its getting more tempting by the hour!!

its already got the 1.8 130bhp zetec engine with the mtx 75 box. Just wondering what else. Im seriously considering an st170 lump on bike carbs.just looking at engine management etc. Ive had cvh turbs before, and althogh its a very easy conversion, i found that it wasnt as reliable as i would of liked.

preety much as the title says really, im looking into possible engine conversions for the orion. I was just wondering what people had done and how easy they are. Ive toyed around with a 2.3 conversion, also an st170 transplant and even an rs conversion, but im just not sure. also toying around withe idea of a 2.3 with bike carbs?? let me know what you have, how easy is was and what sort of power you are getting, thanks andy.

no!!!!! i got my compressor back today so the work can really start, just looking forward to getting it all in primer, atleast it will be the same colour

the kit was originaly from mc rallying especially designed for the orion, but it wasnt very popular and obviously you cant but it anymore, thats why i had to cut the kit off the original car. Im hoping to keep it looking the same as the one in the sig, it just looks awesome. My mate who`s a mechanic is looking into dropping an st170 lump and gearbox in. We got a donor car but it realy is very early days for an engine conversion. Im concentrating on the body for the time been.

its early days, but ive got a good mechanic on board and a good body preper so, it shouldnt be too bad

pretty much as topic says!! im new on here. I owner a mk3 orion, parts are pretty rare now so i fiqured joining this forum may be my best way of getting the bits i will need eventually. it did, but as with all fords it got so rotten it was beyond welding to be fair, so we had to cut the kit off and start again!! early days yet thou but we started this weekend

i thought so, a company called smith and deakin by me said he bought the majority of mcrallyings mould but they didnt have this one!! they are like hens teeth. Im getting them to repair mine i think.

hiya peeps new to this forum so dont all shout at me when i say i own an orion!! heres my problem!! i currently have a set of genuine cossie fron wings on the orion, but due to the wheel base being different, the front wheels tend to sit towards the back of th earches making it look odd!! is there any way around this to make them look central or should i opt for fibreglass replicas?? http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/oo85/andyireland/andyorion2074_zps8c1bb63c.jpg

hi stooo, im on the orion register and just happen to drop into this forum as ia after some bits.
