Not at the moment , but both rear jacking points are rusted to the point that they no longer hold the cars weight and the whole of the sill seam is eusted on both sides as soon as I can take a few shots I'll post them up. Cheers for that buddy I'll be giving them a call

Your only a short run from me , how do I get in touch with this guy ? And where do I get the sill from ? There is no rush its not due uts mot for about ten months but would be nice to have some one who knows what there doing lined up.

Ive just ordered two new rear pistons so im hanging on in there , but im having trouble finding anyone to look at the sills the body shops ive tried around my way just don't want to know and the one that did said id be looking at around £700 without even looking at the car and thats just silly talk. I'm a bit gutted as I can do most things my self but sadly not body work and welding and its the welding that is going to cause me the most problems.

Neither have I untill now ;-) beginning to think doing this car wasn't such a great idea , rear drum piston is leaking brake fluid now seriously thinking about cutting my loses.

My welding lol nah don't even go there , I spoke to my local body shop and they wasn't interested at all , guess I'll have to make so more inquirys .

Hi guys its been a while been so busy with work just been getting home and crashing, but back to the escort ok had a few problems first was the rear wheel burning up due to the shoe's braking up and the linings coming off anyways while sorting that I had a good poke around underside and found it looks like both the inner and outter seals will not make another mot and im now unsure what to do I don't know where to source these parts from and im guessing cost of repair is going to be very high Your thoughts ?

Guys we took the GTI out for its first spin with us today and the first thing that hit us was getting the children in the rear seats, you lift the little lever and the seat back tilts forward but the seat base doesn't slid forward to allow access to the rear is this right ? As it is at the moment its a right pain as I have to slide my seat forward and then tilt the seat just so the children or any rear passengers can get in or out this can't be right surely ?
