  1. Got a mk6 saloon (orion). I've been looking for boot spoilers but the boot lid looks to be a different profile to a hatch. I have what I believe to be a mk5a rs2000 spoiler that's no where near fitting. Will a cabby one fit or would it have to be an orion one?
  2. As title. Looking for a handbrake lever for my 5b. Don't know if there's any differences but it's an xr3i so long centre console and black plastic trim on the lever itself.
  3. Decided i'll flog the genuine grille and get a fibreglass one I won't be bothered about cutting up. Putting a standard mk5 grille on for now.
  4. That's kinda what I need to know. Running mk6 5 spokes.
  5. Its a genuine grille. Has the black plastic grille bit that unclips. Even with that off it clashes with the front panel. Drivers side sits forward a good inch maybe more. The front panel bit sticks inwards 4 or 5 inches from the headlight. I don't plan on cutting the lug off the back of it.
  6. I'm assuming plenty of people have come across this issue. Went to trial fit a cossie grille on my 5b. The front panel has a section which completely interferes and wont let it fit. What's the accepted method of getting around it?
  7. Got a beam sorted. Will them ST's fit under standard rs2000 alloys?
  8. Looking for a complete disc braked rear beam and any better front brake setup that'll fit under 15's.
  9. Hoping someone has found the cause of this before. Its a '93 xr3i 105PS, got various 130 bits on it and it doesn't half go, until I had the battery off over the weekend. Put it back on on sunday and since then its had absolutely no poke, it doesn't die off particularly but it feels like its holding back. It doesn't idle very well when its cold and has a hesitation when you blip the throttle. I've not touched anything, only had the battery off while I welded the back legs. Going to test everything but thought I'd ask some opinions first. I'm thinking fuel pressure as that's what it feels like. Anybody had this before?
  10. I have a mk5 xr3i 105 so have the ib5 box, need a new clutch so going to get a flywheel to machine beforehand. Question is though, do the input shaft splines differ between the ib5 and mtx75? As I'd like to get a 240mm clutch and flywheel in it but obviously if it won't mate to the box that ideas a non-starter. What do you all reckon?
  11. Do 130s have different injectors to 105s? And I was working on the basis, if I can get as much air in it as possible, then it will need more fuel. The ecu should trim the fuelling cause it knows whats coming out the back so it can give it the right amount itself. I'm assuming eec iv is clever enough to do that.
  12. How do the inlet manifolds differ? Not changing cams just yet but might tweak the timing. Got a 4 branch and decat to go on and will get the ignition mapped when I get the 130 ecu. Can 2.0 injectors/increased fuel pressure be made to work?
  13. I've read the sticky and stuff but thought I should ask advice from those who have already done it. I have a '94 1.8 XR3i 105PS and generally want ideas for abit more speed. Ideas so far are; 130 ecu, throttle body, cams, exhaust. But what works and what doesn't in reality? Every engine I've tuned so far has had carbs and a dizzy and is simple haha; bigger carb, better cam, headwork and a nice exhaust.
  14. I have an excellent set of mk6 morettes but need some for my mk5. What you got?
