Just for future ref.. if any of you boys decide to add sat nav.. on a 1998 MK6 GTi, the speed pulse wire is the white wire with the violet stripe (pin 3 on the plug) coming out of the ECU. Amit

Maplins sell cold cathode (similar but better than neon) kits for £7.99 for the tube and the power supply. Its what computer case moders use.. And I use em in my installs all the time. Amit

My old car is on its 2nd one.. My car was lowered so this thing was only a couple of inches of the ground.. I rammed it into the kurb a few times in parking bays.. but the worse one.. I parked in my drive front in, so had to reverse out.. On the way out, I hooked it on a tree root and ripped the front off. The first one was bonded and smoothed on, the 2nd is just screwed on. The first one looked awesome but made a mess of the bumper when hit or damaged.. The second one look fine unless you look really close up, but has give in it incase u hit something. Amit
