I was thinking about EVO the other day and wondering if anyone was still around! I havent logged on for an absolute age as I have been living abroad and haven't even driven for 2 years! Shame to see it going so quiet and I do miss my Escorts but I dont think I would buy one now, I would end up spending too much money on it no doubt.

a mk2 is the perfect little go kart! Yeah....I've only ever driven one on a field but even then I could feel that. Will it get a cage for the track?

My mate is on his second one of these and loves them. The styling isn't quite my thing but I love going for a drive in them. He had some kind of modified turbo one to begin with and that just blew my mind acceleration-wise. Even the standard 1.6 is pretty nippy as they are so light! Any plans?

Nice little project. Always used to like messing round with my mate's Mk1s and 2s but we never really put enough effort it to make it onto the road or track... Some strange wear spots on the seats....??

Octavia is a good call, I know a couple of people with them and they love them.....but then again it doesn't have the class of the BMW or Volvo. MG would be a great choice for something a bit different....I'm sure there are quite a few around but doesn't feel so common as a Volvo or BMW.

I used to be pretty regular, even after I stopped buying Escorts but I have been overseas most of the time, without a car and pretty busy. I haven't even driven any kind of vehicle for a year now

Its up to people to live their own life how they want...however many cars, job etc whatever they want. This guy hasnt trashed and scrapped 55 cars so I dont understand where this went off. when i was a kid my dad had a sapphire in that colour...i love that car and it was that and his orion that originally made me love Fords. this is going to be an interesting project...want to see some videos of it in action when its done
