  10. apparently the mk1s used in this film are pretty much historic spec cars running BDG's... nice.
  11. finally have a bit of an update, done quite a bit on the car, dropped the rear axle off to find... no rot shells looking pretty good. no pics of this as my phone went in for repair and lost all my photos. stripped the interior for the plates for the cage, decided to have them welded in to save having to take the cage out in the future if i ever decided to do anything competitive, while the carpet was out noticed a small amount of rot on both outer rear front seat mounts but had them done when the plates were made, gave them a lick in light blue hammerite... it doesnt look quite so out of place when you look at it not on pics lol http://imageshack.us/a/img195/4787/wp000021nr.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img825/7605/wp000019n.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img266/9110/wp000023k.jpg then came the rear axle, used an xr4x4 beam and diff (which has an LSD), used new bolts, new cv gaiters as the ones on the original shafts were gone, had a look through all the trailing arms we had and chose the ones with the best bushes, had to make a new brake pipe for the beam (first one ive ever made, a bit annoying to get it right) and fitted it to the car with the new suspension i paid £20 for, looks a bit tired but as ive previously said this is a budget build. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/6042/wp000027x.jpg still need to change the studs and refurb the calipers before it can be dropped down on all 4 wheels the front wheels are on, new studs and spacers also fitted, clears the brakes lovely now http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/3246/wp000022l.jpg ive also managed to pick up one of these... http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/4457/wp000007o.jpg I bought the cylinder around christmas time but managed to get the handle for a bit of a bargain, and its the exact one i wanted but couldnt justify paying for lol. plans this week are to bolt the roll cage in, need to fit the seats so i can mark where i want the handbrake before i run the brake lines and get a box section welded in, hopefully we can get it rolling on all 4s so i can bring it round to the house and wash it.
  12. My mother had one for christmas, she absolutely loves it! seems to be the best about for the price
  13. just sold a good set of 4 with no kerbing but no tyres £300
  14. Im doing it on a bit of a budget, i like 4 spokes, they came up cheap and i like them on sierras, not getting involved with drifting much, just after a bit of fun, if i thought i would get the car in my garage i would use a welded diff and be done with it lol Not clued up on cwp tbh, no idea what kind of ratios mean what etc, all i know is the one i have for it is an xr4x4 diff, seen one in action on a mates and tended to work well.
  15. Also the reason i have to run spacers are the brakes are too big to go under the wheels, if i had a 1.6 sierra with smaller front disks and drums they wouldnt be needed Thanks for the comments, should have some kind of update this weekend.
