  1. The car has now gone. T'was a bit sad but I was adamant that I was not going to spend any more money on a 13 year old car and with another child due in July, it was time for something a bit bigger and with a few more safety features. I would like to thank everyone for their help and advice over the last 4 years and a big well done to the admin team for all their hard work in running such a brilliant forum for all of us Ford fans. Take care everyone and play safe. Steve
  2. Royalties probably???...
  3. Forgot to add, Tax ends May 2010 (so the end of the month) MOT due 29 May 2010
  4. Due to purchasing my Jaaaaaag, I need to get rid of the 'scort. Maybe a project for someone or break it for parts Please note: Do not ask the question "If you decide to break it...I'll have" I have not got the time to break it, I need it gone. I still need the car until the weekend then £120 takes it away. The car is based in Warrington WA3, contact 07786733029 It's a '97 1.8 Ghia x in Curiass blue with standard cloth interior Air Con Front & Rear Heated screens Electric Sunroof Digi dials CD changer RS accessory Spoiler fake wooden dash trim has been replaced with the black trim (i still have the fake wood trim) SI Alloys I have an A4 wallet with lots of history in it to go with this car, any repairs done while I've had the car have been done by Polar Ford dealership in Warrington. Some of the work done is, The O/s chassis leg replaced, both wishbones, track rod ends, drop links replaced. New MAF, Oxy sensor, ICV and HT leads, 4 new tyres, new back box (with 2 year guarantee), rear wheel bearings, pads and disks, a new engine side air con switch etc. The Parrot hands free and the stereo does not come with the car, but I will listen to sensible offers for them. I will put in the RDS 7000 that came with the car Bad bits: Rust , Both rear arches have rusted, rust has attacked the bottom of both wings, there is a a scratch in the bonnet about an inch long, both front door bump strips will need respraying (drivers door strip, the paint has flaked), the drivers external door handle has gone all floppy due to a broken spring but you can still open the door as usual and the usual stone chips Engine has had an high idle for a while which I have given up trying to sort out. The boot keeps locking itself after you press the boot release button. I have replaced the catch and the solenoid so it must be a faulty copper contact. Apart from the high idle, the car has been faultless with regular journeys from Warrington to Cirencester in Gloucester I was getting 350+ on a full tank. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/Stezz/DSCF0256.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/Stezz/DSCF0257.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/Stezz/DSCF0258.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/Stezz/DSCF0397.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a16/Stezz/DSCF0410.jpg Thanks for looking. Steve

  7. Just read this.... Formula One teams are close to agreeing upon a new engine formula for the six-year period beginning in 2013. Until then, development of the current 2.4 litre V8s will remain 'frozen', to be replaced thereafter by similarly powerful engines that use less fuel, emit less pollution and are affordable for the small teams. Spain's El Mundo Deportivo newspaper said an in-principle agreement has been reached for a four cylinder, 1.5 litre engine equipped with a twin-turbo and direct injection. The new formula would reportedly also involve KERS. Didn't they have the same thing back in the 70's early 80's? but without the KERS
  8. So has anyone owned or driven the XC70/XC90?

    Vista Passwords

Hi Guys, Quick question. Is there anyway I can stop users putting passwords on their accounts in Vista Home? Everytime I have to use the Admin account and remove them but was wondering if this can be done when setting up the accounts. Hope this makes sense.

  11. likewise, I smoke and my missus smokes.............yet not inside, could be rain sleet or snow outside but we allways step out onto the front to have a ciggie so as not to inflict it on the enviroment our son also occupys. all you people screaming "ban it"...........are you tapped in the head?....... a bit daft?....... bumped your head as a child??? your condoning the enforcement of a free right abolitation.......why stop at smoking?, ban drinking!....thousands more than smokers suffer a year as a direct effect of alcohol?........and cars, ban them too......millions suffer a year as a direct effect of cars. take a moment to think about what just spouted out your face flap next time kids Totally agree, I smoke but my misses doesn't. I also go outside to smoke and when I finished I'll wash my hands and face and suck on a mint. I wouldn't dream of lighting up in the car if my wife and kid are with me.
  12. Jesus!!...is your car solid gold?
  13. It is shocking the way insurance is worked out. I was looking at a 1.8 lancer and it is cheaper to insure than my Escort based on the fact the Lancer is insurance group 8 and the escort it 10 but the lancer is a more powerful car It maybe down to the fact the escort is easier to steal than the lancer...I don't know. But then If I were to go to the Audi showroom and buy an R8 V10 I'd still pay less insurance than massivewaggers has been quoted on his RS2000. I'm 41, full NCB, licence held for 20 years, no accidents or convictions but live in a medium risk area. When these insurance posts come up, I ALWAYS recommend that you change your insurance company every year as you get better deals as a new customer than a customer who has been with the same company for years.
  14. Now thats fugly, looks like TT with a crap bodykit on it
