  1. I'm glad you have sorted the engine, and the car runs fine BTW..how many years you own this car now...it must have been couple aye?
  2. Amparo blue is the most beautiful color you can get on Escort... But get some proper cossie wheels on! (Hint: search for Comp's 3door GTi, and everything will become clear...)
  3. The car is pure wet dreams! It's condition is better than it left the factory new. Ryan keep us updated with the pro pics! What camera and lens did your frined used?
  4. For example some cheap and simple schematic: http://www.csgnetwork.com/dimmerdelay.gif The material you need is: 1x LM174 (op-amp) 1x 2N3055 transistor (TO220 case) 1x 22uF capacitor 1x 10k 1/4w resistor 1x 22k variabile trimmer pot. 1x 10k variabile trimmer pot. And a little bit of good will, and that's about it http://www.shrani.si/f/p/Kx/2cD5m3uC/dimmerdelay.jpg And 22uF capacitor can be 16V or more, if you dont get the 16V one.
  5. Maybe it's rusted aswell...try heating it up, and then punch it out with a hammer. (seen this plenty of times in workshops)
  6. It would be cheaper and faster if you made electronic dimmer module by yourself If you aren't good in electronics ask somebody skilled for help (like Stu). These electronic components are cheap to buy, all you have to do is find a circuit diagram for such dimmer and made PCB by yourself.
  7. There were not many GTi's made in Cuirass blue IIRC...
  8. Very nice example of racing Puma Mark Can you arrange some photos of the engine bay?
  9. Nice to see a good 3 door GTi example in cuirass Maybe some laguna splitter and cossies FTW...and keep her clean!
  10. What kind of a gearknob is that? Focus or Fiesta ST?
  11. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj119/djdane73/DSC00372-1.jpg But where is Stu?
  12. This had been a great project, and great improvement for your car Comp The car really deserves a 2.0l now. What kind of exhaust manifold have you used? It looks like ST170 one, but i'm sure 170 is not a straight fit
  13. You can also test the lambda with the digital multimeter, if you want to know if it's in the range of working one.
  14. Lol, they play that series here too!
  15. What kind of scope you got there...is it analog or digital one? Is it Hameg, Textronix or some other manufactuer? As Stu said, give a shout and we'll arrange some pics for you how to proper set horizontal line (mS, uS or S) and vertical volt division line. I'm not sure what did you mean with lambda on the scope? Are you trying to hook-up the sonde to the lambda sensor, while car is running? In that way i prefer Ford WDS tester. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/fds2000.jpg
