  1. Just signed back in to see if I could get hold of Shawdreamer to see if he still has my old Escort. Have a house with a garage now, so it could gladly sit in there while I get it back on the road for old times sake. Matured a bit with cars (Seat Arona), now have a camper and still a Ford for the works van (Transit Custom).
  2. Alreet. Just thought I'd see if my login still worked.
  3. Hi guys and girls, long time no see! Saw this on HotUKDeals and thought of you lot: http://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/haynes-ford-escort-iii-xr3-model-and-book-set/product/36589234?utm_campaign=eq_whs&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=awin&awc=3017_1410812544_ba1dcfc03440a5df6f59e9c038a87205 £5 for a Corgi XR3 and Haynes History book. (still Escort-less, Still a van driver)
  4. https://www.humblebundle.com/ Includes: * Dead Space * Dead Space 3 * Burnout Paradise (ultimate box) * Crysis 2 (Maximum Edition) * Mirror's Edge * Medal of Honor (inc multiplayer) * The Sims 3 (complete starter pack) * Battlefield 3 Basically pay what you want for them $1 or more for all but Sims 3 and Battlefield 3 or more than the average donation (about $5 at the moment) and get them all! And the monies (or at least some) goes to charity
  5. Unfortunately, due to the network/activation setup (as well as not wanting to be fired), I can't accidentally do that. All I can say is a lot of my installation jobs are people moving over from Sky. On a Ford note... was on 16,000 when I got it... I think the turbo is on the way out already. Fuel consumption has increased dramatically and the Turbo sounds like a Scania truck turbo attached to a Vauxhall Nova with added extra chavvy dump valve. Plus making 60mph (never mind 70) on the motorway is becoming a chore. Time to get it booked in the garage I think! Oh Ford Plus the Ford ECS kicks in like a nervous driving instructor on a slightly slippy roundabout (diesel patches in the rain) by slamming the anchors on sending you in a straight line... it's much safer when switched off!
  6. Just not an Escort... http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31253.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31254.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31255.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31256.jpg Like any Ford, it's not without problems and this one was fitted at the factory : http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31257.jpg I'm an install/service tech for Virgin Media. The best offer I have at the moment (before someone asks) is £50 off your bill for each successful new customer referral through me (the new customer gets £50 off their first bill also). - So no free TiVos from me
  7. What's the latest on this? Cue vulture like tendencies: If it stays in bits any longer I might have to send some lads round with a recovery truck while your not watching! - Seriously though, if you still have it in a few months I'll be looking at a project... would be odd for it to be my first proper on-road car though
  8. Well that's another car fecked off! Live and learn... Lost a few hundred trying to put that pile of shite right. Some other poor bugger's problem now! Now have a job working for a well known multimedia company. Company van coming soon!
  9. Tried them before... £50 for the car and may be subject to a £50 valuation fee... so basically they take the car for free Even car dealers would only give scrap value against another car. I didn't, they came free with the wheels... but I don't need to tell the eBay punters that! I even have a guy up in John O' Groats interested in the car now

Do you not live in a Virgin Media area? - If so, you don't know what you're missing! If you're not in a Virgin area, have you considered mobile broadband? - 3G wasn't amazing, but now we have HSDPA (H), HSDPA+ (H+) and 4G. I've had 22.5Mbps out of my H+ connection on Three through my Samsung S3. Costs me £33 a month (because of the phone) but it's unlimited internet (well, 1000Gb per month limit which is close enough!) and they allow tethering (they just get shirty if you use a dongle instead of the phone). Maybe that plan with a cheap H+ compatible Android handset (The One plan - with a cheap handset for around £20 a month) with a Wifi Router app or USB/Wifi tethering would solve your problem until you get decent fixed line speeds in your area. I've taken my phone to exhibitions where most have struggled to make a call yet I've had full H+ and shared it with upto 5 people on our stand at a time in the exhibition hall with no problems.
  11. Ok I'll be honest, it's a bag of shite... I can't wait to see the back of it Should have stuck to my guns not to ever own a Vauxhall... In related news the mrs has just bought a Vauxhall Adam I'm really not bothered what it goes for, hence the honesty in the listing! But if someone is buying it for banger racing, please send me the footage of it's finally moments as I'll gladly watch that for hours! - How's that for the best sales pitch on a car?
