Escort GTi, S plate, 1.8 16v zetec, 5 door, 105k miles MOT - November Tax - End of August Bought the car originally from someone off here, had to correct a few cock ups he'd made though, one example being the hub nut on the OSF was done up finger tight, hence the new wheel bearing had the bits sorted though and had it checked out and the garage said its all good! Should add, my only reason for selling is that i'm moving to the States, or i'd have kept it! Stuff: lowered on Gmax shocks and springs, stainless exhaust, 17" alloys, power steering, ABS, electric windows, sunroof, central locking, half leather seats (with electric drivers seat that works), air con, factory fitted white dials. Both front wishbones replaced very recently, also a new wheel bearing on the OSF. Car runs perfectly, starts first time, no irratic idle problems as is common with Zetecs. everything works as it should (although the aircon needs recharging). All dials etc work. Actually surprisingly good on fuel, regularly get around 350-400 miles to a tank. Last owner told me it had a recent clutch, front brake lines, and rear shoes. Also the arches are mint on this car, no rust at all on them. Car has also been undersealed etc, when I took it to a garage for the wheel bearing, they told me it looked in very good condition underneath. hello all, am after a car for a runabout, preferably an Escort of some kind. got to have MOT and tax until at least the end of August also close to Bucks / London if possible! Cheers

got any pics of it? roughly when does the MOT expire? just prefer petrol cars to be honest mate, I have to drive a diesel van all day and miss having a car that reacts to putting your foot down immediately! also have to add, the MOT expires in may, I made a boob and thought it was August it ran out

Looking to swap my 2000 Ford Mondeo 1.8 turbo diesel - it has MOT until roughly August 2012 and tax until March 2012. The car is LX spec, so has PAS, E/W, A/C (which works), remote C/L, alloy wheels, front and rear heated screens (brilliant for the winter) and a very economical (50mpg) turbo diesel engine - the intercooled version, which is also the most powerful of the TD range. The car has recently had a new exhaust and new glow plugs, with receipt to accompany. Car has a few small dents etc as is expected but bodywork is generally in good condition. Car runs spotlessly, does start first time when its very cold in the morning, although it will turn over for a while (about 10 seconds before it fires). Regularly get 50mpg from this car, very comfy. ive got a W plate Ford Fiesta 1.25 zetec in metallic blue I'm considering swapping. Its done around 110k, has MOT for about 9 months and tax for another 3/4. has: PAS, C/L, factory white dials & digital trip computer, 3 door model, Ford alloys, front fogs, and a nice black & blue interior trim with matching black and blue mats. also has two new tyres on the back, and has had a recent fluids change. Car runs faultlessly, and does a 40 mile round trip to work every day without any issues. Recently got 330 miles from a tank too, which costs around £40 to fill up. Bad points are, couple of small dents as youd expect, the worst being below the fuel cap (still small , thanks to someone that cant park their car), and a few rust blobs, though nothing major. will consider swaps so show me what you got.
