  1. Cheers mate. Ermmm .. 5 changes - £400?
  2. Sorry to drag up an old thread, but it's nice to see my old GTi rep again I got my Clio 172 from Keighley, traded in the Escort for £500 towards the Clio.
  3. Some of you may remember me from 2007-2009 when I had an Escort or 2. Just thought I'd do a quick update.... The last car I announced on here was my Clio 172, which after it's accident, sadly ended up broken into bits and sold..... I then bought a Fiat Bravo 1.2 16v 80bhp SX as a cheap buy till I could save up to get something else (Also insurance had gone up after the accident). What a step down in power!! Started like this: When I'd finished with it: I then sold the Bravo, after having enough of the lack of power! I came across a 2.2 16v Vauxhall Astra Bertone Coupe, 150bhp so a big improvement on the Bravo. Had a few problems with this car from the start. EGR valve was playing up, so had to blank that off. Also, a common problem with these engines was the timing chain snapping before 100k..... had that changed asap after I heard the telltale noises. Started like this: When I'd finished with it: This then got traded in against a Mazda MX-5 2.0 16v 160bhp Convertible. Had this for 6 months, before getting bored of having only 2 seats and no boot. Also, when having the roof down, this set my hayfever off to a stupid level. Now... My Latest.... Subaru Impreza WRX UK300 - Bugeye - Limited Edition - #199 of 300 made - 245 BHP - 2.0 16v Turbo - AWD. I bought it without the WRC decals on, but I have always wanted 1 with the full sticker kit on so I put them on. Since I bought it, it's had new Headgaskets, about 4 new sensors, de-cat turbo up-pipe. ££££ It's rather thirsty, but worth it for the power. This is how it currently looks. Has anyone seen my Black Escort GTi Rep about? Anyone bought it on here? Cheers guys
  4. Probably yeah, but I have no idea what his numberplate was or anything. And the police weren't called due to the fact it only being my car involved. he didn't stop??? nice He stopped, got out of his cab, checked we were all okay then went on his way. well I guess if he though you were being a dick (the only witness) then he'd have prob belled the Police...... More than likely. Cheers fella, Thank God there's some decent people left on here

  7. Cheers fella. It seems no-one on EscortEvolution overtake lorries doing 40mph, or make mistakes. oh yeah , didnt you realise everyone else is perfect on here ? accidents happen , everyone on here has made mistakes , and no doubt half of them will have crashes in the future ..... talking about insurance shawdreamer , i hope youve declared every single mod on your car right down to side repeaters etc , because if you have a crash = void it couldve been worse , but if the engine and interior survived , buy a 1.2 and swap all the bits over Cheers fella, I knew there was a reason I joined EscortEvolution a few years ago, for the nice people who are on here (oh and the fact I had an escort ). Don't think I'll be buying another Clio. Looking for something with a smaller engine tbh, cheaper motoring and more of a social life. My social life has been crap since I bought that car, because of insurance and the amount of money it was costing to run and repair.

  9. ^^^if thats true^^^ 1. YOUR A PRIICK 2. I HOPE YOUR BACK KEEPS YOU AWAY FROM DRIVING FOR ASLONG AS IT TAKES FOR YOU TO DEVELOP MORE BRAIN CELLS AND GROW THE FECK UP. 3. IM CHUFFED TO BITS THAT IT WAS WITNESSED AND YOU WONT BE ABLE TO BLAG YOUR INSURANCE SO WILL GET PROPER STUNG TO THE POINT THEY'LL EITHER REFUSE TO PAY OUT, REFUSE TO CONTINUE COVERING YOU, HIKE YOUR PREMIUM UP SO HIGH YOU'LL CRY AND HAVE TO GET YOURSELF A 1.1L PUNTO. 4. HA HA That was taken off Facebook, off a girl who was neither a passenger nor a witness of the accident.
  10. I very much doubt it mate. From the looks of it, it's bent the chassis. I'm no expert though.

  12. Just wondering how I swap my plate now, as the tax runs out on 31/12/09, and I've just sent back the tax disc I just bought for a refund and SORN'd this. Now how long have I got to change it, or as long as I keep the car can I still transfer it at anytime?
  13. Not really safe in the conditions though. Yeah, I agree with you. At the end of the day, it was my fault because I lost control of the car, I'm just glad no-one else was involved and the 3 of us in the car only have bruised and pulled muscles. I'm very upset about losing my car as it was only insured TPFT, and there's no way I can afford another one now.
  14. Except the accident happened at just before 6pm.
  15. She wasn't in the accident or even a witness, so I don't know where she got this bullshite from? The road is a massive straight road, that you can see all the way up. The lorry was doing 40mph, so I overtook it, I could see a car in the distance, but it was a fair distance down the road. As I came back in from overtaking the lorry, the back end slipped out (which i think was mud or ice) and took the car straight through the hedge. No other cars were involved. I was probably doing more like 60-65. Which on a national speed limit road is understandable when overtaking.
