Thanks for the replies. I was looking at adding an amp later on when I can afford a decent one. Thanks for the offer, but I was hoping to get it cheaper but everywhere I look its £7 - £8 post! So I might look round a bit more, but stay away from the argos ones haha. Thanks guys
  3. I didn't know Haynes manuals had Finis codes in them Could you tell me your numberplate? Then i can make sure i get the right part no. Sent you a PM Cheers

lol! Thanks i'll have a look at those. I saw them cheaper on http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/sxe1750s-1...rs-p-11733.html So you don't recommend some 6x9's on the back?

Probably gonna get flamed for this Would these speakers be any good to chuck in my escort for now? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...rs|12108871.htm I cant afford a decent set at the moment. I'm just looking at something to replace the originals that sounds decent and is fairly cheap.
  6. Could anyone tell me the number for the real wheel bearings on a 1998 1.6 Mk6 Escort? Would it be in a haynes manual? I don't have one yet Thanks
  7. But having remote start does look pretty cool Thanks for all the replies guys!
  8. Ok I might just do that. Sorry about mentioning the PATS thing, its just something I read from another topic through search. I also have a microwave unit from a Microscan alarm, can this be fitted to the SA30?
  9. I could only find an SA30 for £54 with postage included. I guess I'll have a better look lol. The top models of those Hawk alarms are Cat approved arent they? And isnt the installation one of the biggest factors in having a good alarm? Also, if you was to add a remote start to the car... how do you get around the pats system? I've heard you can tape the red chip to the ignition barrel, but does this work? Obviously you'd need a good imobiliser to replace it.... Cheers!
  10. Yeah they look good, I'll consider them. I've been having a look round Ebay abit more and found a Hawk alarm - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-ALARM-REMOTE-STA...1QQcmdZViewItem - and I have to say I like the sound of the remote starter lol.
  11. I'm looking at buying a cheap alarm. I have been looking at the recommended Scorpion SA30 which is now £55. Used to be £50 didn't it? I also found another Scorpion one on Ebay which I am not sure about (because its so cheap), could anyone tell me what they think of it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCORPION-CAR-ALARM-I...1QQcmdZViewItem What other alarms are there for around £60? I have no problem with fitting it myself. Cheers!
  12. I use this one in my escort from Argos for my 11 month old son. Havnt had a problem with it at all, even switching it between cars... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...3EBABY+SEAT.htm thats the red I got... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...3EBABY+SEAT.htm and thats a better picture from the pink version...
  13. They did this on Fifth gear a while back last year, run a diesel on chip fat oil... Did anybody else see it? You can find lots of info on it from google anyhow
  14. I got WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] encyrption set on mine, changing the passcode every week.... Also instead of checking mac addresses, set it up so only certain mac addresses can access the router. Thats what Ive done, it adds more secruity to it.
