Marky Mark asked if I would vote for a BNP candidate if he filled all the criteria I mentioned in my previous post - my honest answer would be a resounding "No" as I believe the BNP to be a one-trick-pony that would never be in a position to form a viable government. They put forward so-called policies that they know would be popular with the rank and file but, in my opinion, none is feasible. I received only the yellow/red leaflet that makes no mention of any local candidate so I have no idea who is standing in my ward; perhaps they know they stand no chance of election here after the one and only time they captured a seat using false information to do so. However much as I loath everything the BNP stands for, they are a legitimate political party and, therefore, free to pedal their propaganda and it is not for me to say whether people should support them. There are far too many people who just sit on their hands, don't cast their votes and then moan about those who others elect. Hopefully this latest expenses debacle will give politicians the shake-up they need; it's high time they realized they work for us and not vice versa. Vote for who you like but, please, don't just note what the parties say they are going to do for you, make sure you know just how they propose to do it and decide whether you're being fed the whole truth and not handed a plate full of Bull!
