Hello guys (possibly girls to) Basically yesterday night I go to get into the car, turn the key, all lights up but wont start. hmm, It bumped fine Had ago this morning and it started, so turned it off n tried again and surprise surprise it doesn't want to start. You can hear everything prime up etc, but no clicking, no effort to start... nothing at all once you turn the key. It turned on and off four times perfectly after that, but now wont do anything unless bumped. Although I point my finger at the starter, im thinking more electrical? The battery is fine by the way. Any idea's?

Decided to put the Escort up for sale, mainly testing the water if im honest. Its got a stack of service history, I dont think i've owned a car before that has this much history. (half of it Ford, half being another garage) the ford book is stamped upto 80k IIRC. The car itself has covered 116k, it runs fine and i use it as a daily driver and for occasional long distance trips where its never let me down. Its got 12 months MOT and 3 months TAX. (I have all the Old MOT's) In the last year its had a new exhaust, new battery and a service its standard bar its been lowered and has a proper escort K&N induction kit (although i do have the airbox with the car) Theres no horror stories with rust, the arches are solid and the welding it did need under the car has all been done to a high standard. The car has also been wax-oiled underneath. All 4 wheels have excellent tyres, the wheels themselves are in good nick, think 1 or 2 have slight curbing, although they still look tidy imo. The spare wheel is also an alloy. Non-sunroof model With all the usual extra's like aircon etc..I only have one key so unlock the car by the locks themselves which doesnt really bother me. usual half leather interior with no rips or tears, again in very good nick. The side bumpstrips could do with respraying if your fussy as the colour has started to fade on them, likewise with the mirrors. Will come with a Sony headunit. Cant think of anything else right now, pictures will be uploaded later on today. £1200 ono Location - Yeovil, Somerset

Just picked up my 97 Gti today. 1st impressions - Slow I wasnt expecting a rocket ship, but it doesnt really have much going for it tbh. its completly standard bar a rather gash air filter. any tips/tricks?
