  1. Aah, someone's gotta shop one of those pics above so we can see what it looks like with forest arches and full rally graphics!
  2. Fantastic to see my old car back in Evo hands with someone who'll look after her. Where in Wales are you from, you mustn't be that far from me? (Ferndale in the Rhondda). Hope to see it at one of the car shows this year or next, will keep an eye out :0)
  3. Again, not trying to be biased but: 3. The TOF, 2003/2004 under my tenure: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Flat_Steve/fordfair05100.jpg (That first one was taken a few months after I sold it but that's exactly how it looked when I had it.) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Flat_Steve/traxarrivesmall.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Flat_Steve/DSCF0006.jpg 2. Dubs' Mk5 WRC from a Mk6 as that's basically exactly how I'd have liked mine to have looked: http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa83/michaeld4316/Mika.jpg 1. Matman's F2 Maxi project, mainly because I desperately wanted a Maxi rep back in the day but lacked the skills and/or cash to make it happen: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb232/matmansi/Escot%20Rally/DSC02192.jpg
  4. Cheers pricey99, looking forward to seeing what she looks like these days. Will send you a few pics of her as soon as i've rebuilt my PC.
  5. As some of you might know, Tina's sold the TOF, but it's turned up again on another Ford club forum! :-) http://www.feoc-uk.com/forums/index.php?sh...mp;#entry745467 A guy called Cookie has bought it for his girlfriend, I've said hi and asked if he can pop by here to let everyone know how the TOF is.
  6. Well done on passing the MOT, it's getting there. You'll be able to get away with getting the rear bumper plastic welded, if you can find a bodyshop who are good at it - My RX-7 bumper took a knock and on hearing it'd take 12 weeks for a replacement to come from Japan, they did a plastic weld repair - was flawless, and my bumper was in far worse shape than yours. The front - well, it's fibreglass so is easily repairable, though a replacement doesn't cost a fortune. And once you get a set of motorsport-style alloys with spacers on there it'll be getting back to its glory days. Get Dave's Compos back on there! ;-) BTW Dave, before the car went in for surgery it was Ash Black, and when I gave it to my bodyshop I asked for it to be painted panther black. BUT I'd trust them about as far as I can throw them however - did you have paint match issues? If so I would not be that suprised...
  7. Happened recently to me, Tina bought my old Escort and asked who made the front bumper, when I sent her the link (http://www.fibresports.co.uk/products/Ford/Escort-MK6) I noticed they'd used my car for that very part!
  8. I honestly thought there were spikes poking from the front in that first pic!!
  9. That would've been Dave_W. Coincidentally I was looking at that very feature a few days ago when I was sending Tina pics of the TOF!!
  10. Cheers Simonez! Apologies to Cosworth909, I'd forgotten Devboy bought the car, and it's been a while - my memory was a little muddled.
  11. Thanks for the other pics, I haven't seen some of those. Looked amazing on the later alloys with the mudflaps. Tina emailed me: Thanks for all the pictures, I'll join the club soon, just going to try and get it looking a little better first, looks like it needs two new bumpers or a repair, going to get it MOT'd in the next couple of weeks and back on to UK plates, I had the car off swopz. I swopped for my 51 reg Ford Focus TD, I just felt like a change and never saw the car before that.... I'll keep in touch to let you know how the car is doing, thanks again for pics and info. Cheers, Tina
  12. This was my fave pic of TOF taken when I owned it, waaaay back in 2003 at Trax! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Flat_Steve/trax_arrive_upload.jpg
  13. I've been contacted by someone called Tina who has recently bought the TOF! Long-time members of this club will know this car very well as it was something of a club heirloom and stayed in the club for years despite changing hands (first me, then Dave_W then Cosworth909): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Flat_Steve/DSCF0032b.jpg (How she looked in her glory days) I owned it between '99-2004, with the bulk of the work (arches, paint etc) done in 2003. After selling it in 2004, Dave_W really looked after the car and changed the white wheels for a gorgeous set of black 18" motorsport alloys, fitted a rollcage, flocked the dash and did some other stuff. Dave sold it about two years later to Cosworth909 from the Isle of Wight. Dave unfortunately split the lovely blue seats but it was otherwise in one piece. Cosworth909 also looked after it but he got banned shortly after and was forced to sell it. It was apparently bought by someone who lived on a farm and it stood unloved and unused for a while before being rescued and partially repaired by someone not on the EscortEvolution site, around 2007ish. After that we lost track of it until Tina emailed me, though you guys had already clocked it on Swapz ( http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...howtopic=131352 ). It's something of a club heirloom, having being in the ownership of so many members so it's good to see it back on British soil. I've asked her to pop over to this club and say hi, I know some of us would love to hear how she happened across the TOF (its old plate was N604 TOF) and her plans for it. Although it's a bitt ragged and Tina seems to be looking to chop it in, I reckon with a bit of TLC it could easily be returned to its glory days. Anyone remember this car?
