  1. sorted it no problems didnt need to change the disc's just the pads brakes are like anchors now
  2. cheers for that shawdreamer i changed all the brakes on my frontera and found that the bolts needed a special nut to get them off (not the wheel nuts the actual bolts on the disk) thats why i was asking if i needed a special tool
  3. im located in nottingham got moderate experience with cars but always had cars that where right bodge jobs ie exhaust held up with garden string and so on but got myself a decent motor formaly owned by a mechanic now so want to look after it and the more advice i get the better
  4. as the title say's i'm looking to change the disc's on my 1996 p Reg si but before i start i wanted to see what specialty tool's i need (if any) and if anyone had any tip's for me (as it's the brake and i have the kids in the car i want as much info as possible)

    not sure if this the right place for this but if i go ahead and fit 17 inch wheels will i need to have the speedo calibrated i told a lad at work i was thinking of fitting 17s and he reconed it will affect the speedo any ideas cheers mark
  9. hi there all i've got a bit of a problem once and a while when accelerating i get a sudden surge of power not all the time but regular enough oh i have a 1.8 si 5door hope someone can help mark
