  1. I know it'll be dash and all trim out but a weekend of work would be well worth electric windows in the summer.
  2. I'm thinking about fitting electric Windows and mirrors to a poverty spec mk6, If I sat the car next to an Si breaker (both 3 door) and swapped the interior loom, fusebox and window mechanisms would that be job done? I'm gonna be swapping the interiors anyway. Hope someone can confirm this works!
  3. Shame the RS is gone, if I lived closer I would have snapped that Off you! Nice focus though.
  4. Still looking great, I like the 16's although in anthracite/dark grey might look better (imo) I remember taking the 17s of my old Si and feeling the difference in steering and road holding with 15" rs2k wheels.
  5. Cheers for the reply, Im going to get under the car and see if I can find a part number on the rack and see if I can get it identified at Ford. Would have thought a few members on here would have replaced their track rod arms and would have known what was needed!
  6. Sorry I didn't mean the stub axle, I was referring to the rings that press into the brake drum which come with the bearing kit. I can't remember what they're called though! I'd imagine some lazy mechanics don't replace them at the same time as the bearings.
  7. I'm in the process of sourcing a track rod arm for my MK6 but have discovered there are two types of steering rack fitted to all power steering model Escorts and I need to know which rack my Escort has. One rack is called WUELFRATH and the other is TRW. Would the rack depend on the type of gearbox/subframe the car has? My local Ford cannot confirm which rack is fitted.
  8. Are you replacing the bearing guide at the same time mate?

    Track rod

Cheers mate, sounds simple enough. I thought access looks ok?

    Track rod

I'm planning to replace the n/s track rod arm in the next few weeks to hopefully solve the knocking my MK6 suffers from on bumpy surfaces. (everything else has been replaced) I've not yet slid back the dust cover to see how the track rod attaches to the steering rack and was just wondering if anyone on here knows? There's nothing in the Haynes manual.

    Seatbelt

The seatbelt in my MK6 no longer reels in and it's doing my head in! Has anyone got a decent unfrayed drivers side seatbelt for a 3 door which reels in on its own??
  12. The heater matrix in my old MK6 soaked the passenger footwell!
  13. More good work. Exhaust manifold looks smart, what was used for that finish?!
