hi all... i have a set of 86mm flat top accralite turbo pistons for a 2.0 silver top zetec motor, i have to get the pistons skimmed to get the right compression ratio i was just wondering if anyone has used a set of these pistons as ive heard mixed reviews on them and thought you lot would be the people to ask cheers chris

hello just dropped an rs turbo engine in the escort runs lovely and pulls like a train but the only thing that is bugging me is that the rev gauge will not work right as the previous 1.4 engine ran off a coil pack, and the rs is a coil. i was just wondering if anyone noes of any tricks to get it to work right maybe some sort of resitor that might go inline or something . was just wondering if anyone has had this problem to see how they got round it as i would like to use my gauge on the dash. well hope someone can help cheers chris

dont suppose you have any wiring diagrams mate. also the red wire from the fuel pump relay , does that go to the ignition relayon the car ? if you got that cheers

yeh not realy after much just wanted something around 150bhp and a bit reliable thats why i optted for the erst engine anyone got any ideas on wiring on them or....? haha yeh no what you meen mate !!

hi mate yeh i think that is the best way to go as more potential but i have got the engine from the escort and most of the bits and the engine is looking good and nearly ready to go in.

Hi everyone after some help converting my mk5 escort to run an rs turbo engine . i have sourced the engine and all the parts that are required . the main bit that is getting to me is the wiring loom . the car at the moment is a 1.4 cfi cvh i was wondering if anyone noes how to go from the cfi to the mfi . i no the loom will have to be taken out and the rs turbo loom put in but can anyone guide me as to what connections i have to make, i have an idea but am after a second opinion i think theres something like 4 wires from the mfi loom that have to be connected just curious as to where and the best way to do this. This is probably a silly question but the red wire that goes to the pink ignition relay ,is that from the ignition switch and does it feed the ecus there power etc? any feedback is appreciated. many thanks chris
