MASS clear out - LOOK!

Right folks, my mk6 got female-drivered to death a while back and I have SOOOOooooooo much stuff to sell.

I don't really want the hassle of sending stuff so at the moment it's pick up only from Harlow in Essex (near CM18 7PJ).

Just some of the bits...

So...

ST-170 rear disk conversion (270mm - 16 inch wheels min) ... my original costs ...

hubs: £100

calipers: £65

caliper recon (feb 2010 - bigg red in red): £240

braided hoses (custom made to correct length to fit mounting bracket): £40

discs + pads + handbrake cable (o.e. quality): £55

£500 in total it all cost me and is ready to bolt on, so please keep offers sensible - THIS IS THE BEST BOLT ON REAR DISC CONVERSION for the mk6 and is all in great working condition. You shouldn't need to buy anything else to fit these!

---

Mondeo mk3 front disk conversion (300mm - 16 inch wheels min) ... original costs ...

calipers: £60

caliper recon (april 2009 - bigg red in red): £200

braided hoses (custom made but a little short - they work but ideally you want longer ones): £40

GENUINE Ford discs + GENUINE Ford pads: 100

£400 in total it cost me, so please keep offers sensible. While the rear disk conversion is a perfect bolt on, as stated above, the hoses here are a little short, I have been using them for well over a year so they work but they are not perfect - just being honest. By the way I used to have st-170 front calipers and these are better.

As a side note - the stopping power of both these front and rear conversions combined is absolutely bloody terrifying. Also, the thermal mass is so good I could NEVER get the pads to burn, even when trying to bed them in!! The bias is also fine, the fronts still lock up slightly before the rears (I was using good quality grip-tastic tyres front and rear + no abs).

---

Next up is THE BEST off the shelf suspension upgrade for a mk6 escort hatchback (so says Stu (thanks be to Stu for all the years of help!!!)) ... The Bilstein B8 front and rear shocks matched with H&R springs. The shocks cost me (with a discount) £650. The springs were £210. They were both brought in July 2009 and are ready with top mounts and bolts etc to be bolted straight in - no need to mess about with spring compressors. They are all in good working order, and the speed that corners can be taken at flat out is entirely NOT sensible ;). Please make your offers in consideration of the £860 I paid.

---

Clifford G5 650 with twin zone proximity sensor and remote engine start. Paid £360 way back when I first got the car in 2005. You will need to know how to fit it yourself. The siren bracket is a bit bent where I had trouble removing it so I don't want much.

---

Escort mk6 alternator - BRAND NEW FROM FORD (GATES) FOR £260. Had about 6 mins use and was then removed, look how shiny it is!!

---

2.0 mondeo MAF, ok condition

---

e-tech strut brace, full working order

---

There are loads of other bits that I will be posting info about soon, including: alloys + tyres, 2.0 silvertop which is 75% built and has had LOAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSS of money spent on it, various ECUs, 1.8 inlet manifold, funky dials, super rare mk1 focus rs rear hubs, blah blah blah.

PM me with offers, any questions please ask ... HOWEVER, DO NOT hassle me. If I wanted stress I would of listed these bits on ebay. As I am trying to avoid doing that, this forum gets first dibs. I WILL get back to your messages, although sometimes it won't be immediately.

---

Just so you can all see what the brakes looked like new (GOD I MISS THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;( ):

Wheels ...

4 * 16" Ace Alloys ... to fit escort mk6 ... 195 45 R 16

--- 2 * pirelli p zero nero tyers ... just legal

--- 2 * toyo proxies ... 1 is not legal, 1 is good

Also you get a spare tyre of the same size, another toyo in fair condition

So that's 4 wheels with tyres on and a spare tyre to fit those wheels ...

The condition of the wheels is not great (after a good clean they look fine BUT they could really do with new centre caps)

£40 for the lot ... pics ...

Also have...

2 * 17" KRS Racing Alloys ... to fit escort mk6

Both with Kumho tyres in good condition with loads of tread left.

The condition of the wheels is not great as the outer bits are chrome and so have been messed up by salt on the roads. Also one of the centre caps needs replacing.

£25 for both, bargain considering the tyres, even if you only use them once at a track day!!

Note the alternator in these pics is (clearly) not the brand new one I'm selling.

hey fella

have you got any details of the clifford setup?

Hello big man,

What kind of details are you after?

It's a Clifford G5 650 alarm, it was fitted to a mk6 escort and comes with the remote central locking thing to suit. It also has the duel zone proximity sensor and remote engine start. It comes with the manual (with the code you need in it!) and a 5 button remote which is in good condition except it has some super glue stuck on the bottom front of it. However, digging around I have found a brand new 4 button remote that can be had for an extra £5.

Other than the bit of damage to one of the remotes, and as said earlier, the siren bracket is slightly bent where I had trouble removing it. All fully working however, and remote start is fantastic fun (especially in the winter!!)
