  1. Yes still active on a passionford and the RS2000 forum. Currently rebuilding both my RS2000 rally cars, the yellow one in my avatar and an ex-works F2 car. I was indeed but I think that has all but died. You're not wrong. Was chatting to someone the other day and the offers he's had for one of his RS2000s are pretty frightening given how cheap they were a few years ago. Makes me wish I'd kept my little 1.4 Equipe standard now, won't be many left now. In fact, I just had a look on howmanyleft.co.uk and there are only 58 on the road, 37 SORN, definitely getting rare!
  2. Some of you might remember, some of you not. Used to post on here a bit, but seems very quiet these days. Guess Escorts aren't very popular anymore. Rather worryingly, I still have three! A '94 Equipe, a '91 RS2000 stage rally car, and a '96 RS2000 F2 rally car. I've also got a Clio 172 Cup and a Golf R which is my daily. Five cars is probably too many but you only live once...
  3. Yeah I've seen those. Bit over the top for my requirements. It's a lot of money for a panel that I'm just going to smash up anyway!
  4. Where can I buy a set of these from? I don't want the full body kit, just the rear arch extensions? Don't seem to be as common as they used to be!
  5. Thanks mate, keep me informed
  6. Brand new Escort F2 Kit Car/Maxi Replica rear wing, still in the original packaging. Made from fibreglass, it's a pretty good replica of the real thing, though the end plates are slightly thicker. It's never been fitted to a car and is unpainted. Can be fitted to the top of the tailgate or on the lower, depending on how you feel. Came from the spares package for my rally car but no longer required. Price is £150 posted, though I will consider offers. Postage is at your own risk also, I can't be held responsible for damage. I will do my best to pack it safely, but you know what couriers can be like. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/2013-11-08-976.jpg To give an idea of what it looks like, this is one of the same spoilers fitted to my rally car: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/The2011TamdownStages4.jpg And a couple of randoms of genuine ones to show it in both positions: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/kitcar8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/16833.jpg
  7. Custom Escort/206 GTI hybrid bumper in Moondust Silver Removed from a car that I broke some time ago. Basically, the top half is standard Escort, and the bottom half is Peugeot 206 GTI, so it bolts straight on to any Escort hatch/cabriolet from 1992-2000. It does require some work, there is a small crack on the top corner, and it could do with a general tidy up, but it's easily fixed, and is something a bit different from the norm. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/For%20sale/2012-11-11-869.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/For%20sale/2014-04-08-1013.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/For%20sale/2014-04-08-1014.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/For%20sale/2014-04-08-1015.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/massivewangers/For%20sale/2014-04-08-1018.jpg £15 - strictly collection only from Norfolk.
  8. Really after one from a hatchback to be honest. Thanks though
  9. As above, the tail light/fuel pump loom for a MK6. Price with postage please.
  10. As above really. Cheap as chips please, prices with postage unless in the Norfolk/Suffolk-ish area. Contact by PM preferred, as I don't get on here much. Thanks
  11. I did a suspension project for my dissertation. I did actually base mine partially around the Escort (convenience more than anything - I had one I could measure), but I agree with Stu in that it might be more beneficial to do something on newer technology, such as composites or KERS. Mine was interesting though. It became more of an FEA study, examining the short falls of the works rally rear beam designs. Suspension is a very interesting topic though, and is an area of constant development. Loads of cars still use twist beam suspension, so it is still relevant. Once you get into designing a suspension system, you could write a hundred dissertations, let alone one!
  12. Recently partially dismantled my RS2000 for a reshell, so lots of unwanted bits from it, plus some other bits and pieces too. 13. Yeah definitely seen people get pulled up for having swear words on stickers on their cars. And if someone turned up to my place to work on my car with stickers like that on, I'd send them away again. Totally unprofessional.
