  1. Im still ere...... .......... but only cos there's still toolbags who make threads like this that give me a giggle.
  2. even brutal truths are still truths. dont get me wrong, theres definate benefits (and I aint talking about those fullashit types that sugar coat their own reality while they harp on about "the joys of raising a family and how satisfying and forfilling it is that they dont need anything else in their life") Im talking about how you can do all those things that you couldnt do "because your an adult" where the missus would frown at you "playing xbox all day" instead you suddenly achieve glowing status by changing it to "spending time with my son playing xbox" things like "your too old for rollerblades!" turns into "You'll need to get some rollerblades for yourself if we get our son some" for example... my lad wanted a little rc mini quadcopter, he got it........and I got to build and fly my own so "we could bond while flying together" <sits here chuckling cos he knows the Sugercoaters are scowling>
  3. now all you need to do Is get your mind into the correct state to cope with the next few years Ive found it useful to sit down for a few minutes and think about all the things you desire and intend/intended to acquire........ .........then accept that you wont be getting them for atleast 18yrs.........perhaps more if the little fecker doesnt leave home straight away.
  4. whoever takes a 65 mustang and paints it pink needs shooting just for the good of humanity.
  5. I gave up with F1 right about the time that you could go out and buy a road legal car that was faster.
  6. hmmmmmmmmm could it perhaps have something to do with the fact that regardless if I "refresh" page or hit the "view new post" button Im getting zero results back and have to instead manually dig through the forums for the new posts I know exist. For me its annoying, for a newcomer looking for a quick answer to some random query itd be enough to just feck off to another site instead is it just something on my end or is this a new evo hiccup?
  7. well might aswell get it over with.... Im leaving also.... ....I need a coffee, back in a mo.
  8. "best get on EVO its all kicking off" yeah........... erm........... in hindsight..................... sorry about those. <returns to corner>
  9. <sniff sniff> .........it might be........... tried odoureaters?
  10. Id say Bermuda shorts maybe at most its cutdown jeans..... "pants" is a bit ott imho. that is unless you add a nice shirt!!, now thats a whole different ball game then....it could very well be "pants" then, but, "pants with a nice dress shirt and perhaps a tie" <wonders back off into his corner pondering the pro's and cons of buttonless sleeves and the use of cufflinks instead>

  12. OMG AMERICA HAS TURNED HIM GAY. DAM YOU YANKS, DAM YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
  13. story is too vague (in the reports online) but with the limited info available Id have to say that given her "profession" (apparently the belief in and blind worship of a made up mythical entity without any proof whatsoever of its existance is a actual "Profession") the insurance company might very well have been in the right. her slapping "god loves you" and "christ is you saviour" shite all over her vehicle could be construed as using you personal vehicle for more than just commuting and social uses and instead as a advertisement platform for your place of work.......which is a whole different insurance catagory obviously ergo. policy invalidation.
  14. its one of those bizarre entirely unimportant thoughts that occur to you out of no where and once realised continue on through your life as a constant nagging question in the back of your mind. but I can now rest a little more easily in my meagre existence knowing that yes, yes they can indeed do so..... ....a beard can actually grow straight down and create an unbroken blanket with chest hair. feckin yeti
  15. personally Id get your self a cheap pre-amp HU, stash it in the glovebox and fit a 7" tablet were the HU usually go's. so much more versatile (use for videos/music/radio, net access at hotspots, reverse cam, free sat-nav etc etc) looks the nuts if you do it clean too (even on the cheap).
  16. thats not proper "sex", thats marriage PROPER "Sex" is when you poke the bint in every nasty way imaginable purely for your own gratification before promising to call her the next day with absolutely no real intention of doing so............. obviously not "marriage"
  17. HE'S THE SCATCAAAAAAAAAAAAT doobie doobie daba dab dab dab dab
  18. you realize he's from bournemouth right?
  19. Im a massive tw4t so I couldnt give a shite either way
  20. hurt himself? yanno how as kids when we got dragged out shopping and begged to push the trolley so you could jump on the bar and ride it down the aisles when ya mum wasnt looking (tbh I still occasionally do it now but the glare the missus gives me is terrifying.....and a little amusing) well thats Owen, all day, everyday. If he can survive his own personal version of Mario Kart all around the local Asda (he gets the "Mummy" variant of the glare I get... has about the same effect) he can survive one of those things. Ive been trundling about what little sites there are for these things and first impressions are they look like a right grin (selling point for him there) but at the sametime I couldnt help wondering why anyone buys those god awful G-wiz things when you can have one of these Qpods that just seem so much more practical and Im guessing probably more economical............£12 to fill a tank........ a G-wiz would cost you that charging it every feckin night. Think Ill see If I can track down a 50cc version for him before he starts sixth form, Even if he just uses it for a year until he can get his full license at 17 Ill just keep it myself and have a laff with it
  21. My lads starting sixth form next year and as some know he is restricted to a wheelchair more or less all day. Uptil now the local council have been a great help supplying taxi transport for him every morning (along with a few kids that live a fair distance from their chosen schools) but he's naturally wanting to rely less on others as he grows up. long story short he wants to be more independent and his first target is to commute to school/sixth form under his own power. Ive came across the Sicma vehicles before (A few will recall James May trundling about in one on top gear (the Qpod) when they were testing out quads and buggies and he had a sore 4rse) and I thought them simply more of a gimmick than a useful vehicle but it struck me as a possible solution to Owens transport needs, specially as their entry level "Funtech" model has a limited 50cc motor and can be driven at 16 on a CBT and is road legal!....ideal for his mini daily commute at least on paper I think. (1.2miles to school 1.2miles back) Only thing is I a ZERO knowledge on these things but given as they seem to actually be getting quite popular over here someone might have came across one or better still had a go. anyone? any advice or alternative suggestions would be appreciated also.
  22. Wheres my petty can and lighter!!!
  23. silver lining................... you made me sound like a Sexual Disease/ ..... thankgod I turned down AOL's "ShawTheDreamer" screenie suggestion
  24. iirc (its been a few years now) the absolute only difference between a door with deadlocking and one without on a escort all boiled down the the actually latch mechanism, some had the deadlocking feature built in while others didnt. again irrc the door lock barrels were the same, the link rods were all the same and the way the rods connected to the latch were the same. as for changing wiring and control module? well afaik the deadlocking feature is purely a mechanical feature and all contained within the latch unit itself. so in basic terms, aslong as youve got door latches you know came off a car with deadlocking you can swap your own current latches out for them a tada you have deadlocking (its really that simple and easy to do too)
