  1. I use netflix, its good, never used lovefilm, but from reviews online, people suggest netflix has more content. Plus it has TV series as well.
  2. Yea mate, I'm still flying for them.... they're a bunch of everyone knows how they treat their customers, imagine how it is for their staff. Although we've just wrapped some chicken wire around their balls and about to squeeze with an impending union battle!! yup went down the German route!! got a 911 (996 model), Turbo S, its a fantastic car!! althought it needs a new clutch already! done too many launches!! Ric, you got facebook? add me wbryce@gmail.com
  3. another old timer! I'm doing well mate!! Got rid of the escort years ago, forcefully! never did get all that mess sorted so that whole episode killed any future modding aspirations. Now I just do performance! I keep in touch with Andy!! dont know if he still uses these boards as well!
  4. Hey Evo, Long time no speak, looking around on some of the threads, nice to see a lot of old usernames are still kicking around these dark realms!!! Good to know the website is still going strong! and I assume Ian and Stu are still spearheading the operation? will
  5. Blast from the past here!! Happy new year to everyone!! I hope everyone is getting on well.
  6. Download winrar and open the masterfile, could be .rar or .r01 or .r00 or what ever, not got any files on my work pc to refresh my memory...you just need to open the master and extract, it will grab all the information it needs from the systematic files such as .r01,02 and so on... If that fails or you get errors saying *.*r31 is corrupted then your overall file will be corrupted. Only way to resolve is to get the uncorrupted file. When downloading torrents always read user comments left by other downloaders, if it works smoothly then people normally say, if it doesn't work you generally have a handful of disgruntled downloaders hurling abuse at the seeder or release group! **edited, sorry just noticed your downloading a FIX, download winrar, they recognise those file types...you generally need to open winrar and goto file>open and browse to the files.
  7. Can't beat a good session of tormenting smokers!! whose in control, you or the nicotine?
  8. True Paul... but Smoking can cause a Slow death... where as a Drunk Driver kind of kills instantly But someone who disagrees with breathing in someone else smoke can move table, someone killed by a drink drivers doesn't have a choice. why should they have to move table though...??? smokers always use the drink driving excuse.. but you have more chance of being killed crossing the road from a non drinker than a drinker... so its a crap argument anyway You got more chance of catching lung cancer from poor diet, enviroment and lifestyle than you have from passive smoking. So whats your Point? poor diet, lifestyle etc is all choice by that person, passive smoking is not...in passive smoke theirs 4000 chemicals substances, each and everyone has it effects on your health. Basically means as a passive smoker you stand a greater chance than normal of getting serious illnesses - the same ones smokers get, not through choice. Means your chances of having a heart attack, lung cancer and chest problems like asthma and bronchitis are far greater than they would be if you didn't breathe in scond-hand smoke... Not being funny, if i dont want to be sat around a noisey alcoholic, i move away. I don't sit there and take it for the team and then bitch about it later. and there are millions of chemicals in the air anyway, most of which are all carcinagenic, so i wouldn't let a couple of k worry you. Its amazing, its like some people think if they walk through someones smokes they just keel over and die, instanly WHAAAMMMS CANCER!!! Oh ok so in your opinion its ok for workers in pubs/resturants to work on a daily basis breathing in second hand smoke thats a proven health risk? what about children would you be happy for your own children to breath in your smoke every day knowing full well it has impacts on their development?

  10. I dont think Iraqi jails are that advanced yet, maybe he would get a ride on the back of a camel every now and then but thats about it...
  11. No, Punishment by living in a cell for many long years and dieing un-noticed is the best form of punishment. Killing them is letting them off with their crimes the easy way. I would much prefer being killed than never seeing the light of day again.
  12. smoking bans been in scotland for a while now too...best thing thats ever happened IMO, i dont care how much the smokers whinge...get outside for your next nicotine fix
  13. personally I would like to see more single eastern european chicks come over!!
  14. Thought all supra's? are insurance group 19?? Could be, I didn't look into it that much, just assumed with the performance specs the TT Supra would be a group 20....
  15. buy a diesel! I had a 2.0l focus and did alot of driving, petrol bills of around £200-£400 per month took its strain, I bought a 1.5 dci clio book figures are 65mpg, I get between 50-65mpg every tank. If I drive with economy in mind I get 700miles per tank at £45 now my bills are halfed (petrol, insurance and tax, £50 for 12 months tax! wohoo)...Add it up over time and its been one of my better financial decisions!
  16. I couldn't tell you, im not that familiar with them...the underwing pods are warfare jamming equipment I think, they have weapons operators on board which use the equipment to either jam ships radars or F3s... Its one of my dream jobs once I got my commercial tickets, they like the ex military guys though since they're familiar with procedure although they do employ quite a few with no military background! its the next best thing to flying jets for the mil I suppose!
  17. The Falcon business jets, FRA's a defence contractor (http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1157089/M/)...they play quite alot with Leuchars F3's as the Falcons are based at Teeside and FRA mainly have 2 roles, simulated warship attacks, 100ft low level in a business jet doing a run on a ship, must be great fun or doing battles with the F3...The Falcons are pretty damn manouverable, they have swept fighter wing and Its been mentioned on quite a few flying mags too but never confirms...the skippers comments were made at Leuchars airshow... I'm doing my commercial license just now and flying instructors rating soon after...I done some air experience work at the UAS at Leuchars too when the mighty bulldogs where in operation mainly as a cadet though! Nah the Tomahawk (PA38) was black and white with the reg - G-BSFE, was used as part of leuchars flying club for those who have their PPL or training for PPL through the military i think...the owner wanted it repositioned to a new flying club and I done the flight for him.
  18. They could always get an FRA falcon to relieve the F3s! I hear FRA's birds can out manouver the F3 guys, get behind it and confirm the kill in war simulations! info came straight from an FRA skipper who was an ex jet jockey! you remember the black and white PA38 that used to be parked down near the main apron at Leuchars? I came in and flew her out of Leuchars on a busy afternoon with a VC10 and some hawks in the circuit! They probably all laughed at me in my 120hp piston aircraft!
  19. When you join the army whether to get a trade or join the infantry regiments you are told and trained to be a soldier above all else trade or no trade you are a soldier, my mate is currently serving in Iraq in the 2nd battalian infantry right where its all kicking off he gets 30 mins of phone calls a month and rings me regularly and he's loving it, its what he joined up to do. I dont really know how to word this but if you join the forces with the intention of not going to war its abit like getting a job in a garage and expecting not to work with cars. Not meant as an offence to anyone just my opinion and i respect anyone in the forces with current conditions I think you missed my point, I agree thats not at debate...your comparing infantry to mechanics, the mechanics continue to do what they're trained for and fix things whether the vehicles have been in battle or not, not every trade in the army is a front line trade but you do your part to support the fight. P.S. WAIT!! they got the wrong guy!!!
  20. If i want to be a mechanic i would join a garage not the armed forces? If i want to be a medic i would join a hospital not the armed forces? If i want to be an electrician i would get an apprentiship? & so on & so on? If i want to defend countries & fight for my queen & country i would join the armed forces. Im afraid im with sid in the fact that if anyone complains at getting shot at while enjoying a career in the armed forces they have either been grossly misslead or are daft. Yes thats always one way to look at it but it does come across as a bit basic and short coming...friend A was a mechanic and worked for various garages, excitment factor was very little, job stability quite low, future prospects barely little....he joined the royal engineers where he has greater terms and conditions, pension schemes, stability etc and he has the ability to climb the ladder within (seniority, pay rises etc) and gain alot of valuable experience...Plus the level of training military personnel receive is always top quality. To me, its a no brainer... Job at Bobs Automend Garage fixing a blown alternator on Jimmys escort or job using the latest facilities and tools on advanced machinery... My arguement isn't about people who join and don't expect to fight if called upon, my argument is based around people joining the armed forces with intent for future battle, not everyone joins to fight. Everyone joins knowing its a possibility and if called upon they have to act whether they morally agree or disagree...If you've ever seen a service contract for the forces, once signed your basically the property of your country. I always wanted to join the RAF as a fighter pilot but sadly high supply and low demand mixed with budget cuts and squadrons being disbanded during my time of application killed my chances, I wanted to join because I love aircraft and flying not because I wanted to fight in conflict but I accepted I would've been trained to fight if ever needed and I accepted that as should everyone so I agree in that sense but my decision to apply was not based on the future possibility of conflicts or being shot at plus its probably the best job in the world! IMO!
  21. I agree on the educational aspect but two of my friends who work through an agency was made redundant 6 months ago because polish workers offered their services for less...
  22. I agree Lee, but not many recruits will join at the prospect of future conflict or wars. I have friends who has joined RAF, Army etc and they do so to learn a trade and make a living. The argument should be aimed at the desk politicans who make these decisions and not the guys out in the field.
  23. Dont know but I was quoted £1200 fully comp for a group 20 twin turbo supra with Admiral...thats 4 yrs driving experience and 0 NCB. I thought that was mighty good! I was only messing around tho, no intention of getting a supra!
  24. I am against the death penalty, even if it is Saddam Hussein. However, if Bush is convicted on war crimes charges I may change my stance on that issue. Lets face it, the b*stard is responsible for as many deaths as Saddam. I have a feeling his execution can only exacerbate an already volatile situation. The blowing up by British troops of a police station in Basra to spare the lives of Sunnis about to be executed by the Shia militia-infiltrated police force just goes to show what an awful mess has been created by Bush's misguided invasion. US losses in Iraq have now exceeded the number that died on 9/11 and are approaching the 3,000 mark fast. Mission Accomplished? On the other hand I completely support the guys out there in the field. They did not choose to go there, and as always they are making the best of a bad thing! I hope that the execution doesn't make things more difficult for them!
