  3. Mykez69 was around my house the other day and was chatting about old times etc and i realized that i haven't been on here in ages!!!!!!!! Then i decide to come back on and to my amazement iam not the only one to have thought this recently ie knightrider etc etc ..well if any one does remember me it would probably be from the Gti i built many moons ago and meets/ shows i attended, it wasn't until just now i decided to see if it was still alive but appears that it may have met its maker a while back as its not had mot or tax for around two years ( unless some one knows better reg was R744 YAN ) any way i have since brought my first home been through messy break ups etc basically the general crap that life throws at you, but still kept my toys !! I still have a ford but its not an escort ...its cortina thats my pride and joy and i have spent many hours rebuilding it ..and yep there is probably many hours left to go also!! i still have my clio sport tucked away that i sold my escort for all those years ago and my daily driver is now a Mitsubishi GTO MR SV and is one of a limited run of only 300 22 years ago and as far as iam aware is the only one of its model on the road in the uk ! any way thats enough about me how is every body else!!??? A couple of my old gti http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm126/Stoneygti/DSCF3190.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm126/Stoneygti/DSCF23291.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm126/Stoneygti/DSCF0331.jpg http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm126/Stoneygti/DSC00684.jpg

  7. Yes my first car.....blow fuel line out from fuel pump back to the tank with an air line they have a small unchangeable filter in the tank metal tanks create swarf this eventualy floats off and cloggs this said filter had this multiple times in the past
  8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/28102617499...4=83&ff19=0 fcuking great stuff!!! only down sides are takes a few hours to go off and dont get it on your fingers once dried takes a week or petrol to get it off lol
  9. classic car insurance??? what did u have before?
  10. No debate on the HID'S legality mate iam an mot tester i know they are illegal Fanx!!!!! i have to make an apearence every so often lol
  11. Perhaps they're waiting until the MK5s and 6s are considered classics before updating now?! loooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg ggggggggggggg wait then !! i hope they got snacks!!
  12. Basicaly you have 4 kerbed wheels with one legal tyre........250 tops imo
  13. You what? if you looked at my original quote i highlighted that he said may have ...all cars with hid or similar lighting systems must have self leveling suspension / and or lights, head lamp washers and must have continuous illumination of the dipped head lamp whilst main beam is operated..... not just flashed btw and tbf majority of the people posting ( well atleast me any way ) think that the topic starter is a complete muppet !!!
  14. as long as he isn't stealing it, there isn't a problem imo. If they wanna fund him, that's their look out. so, the BMW was a bit of a nail. Not gonna rip into you for that cos anyone can get caught out with a nail. My Mondeo isn't doing me any favours!!! stil, I agree with Sidrick, and My parents have loaned me the money till I sell the BMW and I bought the BMW under value anyway and its had a gearbox over haul, 4 new tyres and inspection 2 service and has parts included to fix front suspension issue and oil and filter for the next service due in 4/5k (2 lights left). If someone wanted to break it theres a good 4 odd thousand pounds worth of parts as BMW parts are not cheap I agree, its no drivers car, but it is a nice comfortable way to get around petrol S60's have 10m turning circle, D5's has 11m so parking mine is a doddle irridium plugs have a 10 year service life as opposed to a 2 year life of standard and pipercross/K&N filter allow slightly better flow than paper element but also never need replacing, only cleaning and I have the oil for both. HIDs are legal. Under MOT rules it says cars fitted with HIDs may have headlight washers, projectors and self levelling and if fitted these must all work. My mums 99 Astra has none of those and is fitted with HIDs and it passes MOT's and police have no issue as its regularly outside police stations given what she does. Hate to break it to you but ....they ARE illegal ....and try MUST have not may have and if they arnt fitted to a vehicle with HID or similar lighting systems then its a FAIL
  15. get yours over hauled not messing its just worn....

    Misfire

wiring bakes and the insulating falls to pieces going to the coil packs would check this first as this can cause misfires.
