Hi all, new to all this so please be nice right i have a MK6 Escort Encore.... was a Auto now a Manual, all changed over and starts with the key aswell but the issue i have is the fact my car wants to over heat...... i got brand new thermostat, and the 2 sensors that go into the housing are brand new from Fords, so now i can see how hot my car is getting. but the the top sensor (Fan Switch) seems to be working as ive tested it all the a multi-meter but no matter how hot the car gets the fan wont kick in...... UNTIL i take the connector off the sensor wait about 10 seconds and the fan kicks in........ soon as i put the plug back on the sensor the fun cuts out again....... really confused on what to do next...... ive changed the relay aswell and still the same and ive tested them and the relays are working as they should ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING!! Thanks!

I have an escort van and snapped the cambelt. I also have a 2ltr mondo zetec which has full PATS crap. If I put the Mondy lump in the van can I also stick the whole ecu, loom and ignition barrel in too? I keep reading that I need a non pats ecu but from what I gather that's just if you buy a zetec engine on its own. I have a full donor car so just want to make sure it's possible before I get to work. All the other mechanical bits like manifolds etc are a easy but I've had bad experiences with fords evil PATS in the past!

I have got a escort van that is lpg converted and the heating has never worked, it blows but only cold. Under closer inspection it seemed the coolant pipe into the heating matrix has been removed and seems to go into the bottom of the engine? Any how I put a t connection on it and put a new pipe connecting to the matrix in pipe. Start the van it chudders and pours white smoke / water vapour and keeps cutting out any idea what on earth is going on here?
